Looks like our federation will pay insurance for Marjanović to play OQT.

They have to pay insurance to the Spurs or otherwise they won't let him go or something like that?

This is reason: His contract will expire 1.7. 2016. Due to regulations, he can not sign before 6.7. 2016. And he will be without insurance 5 days. Main problem is that first match on OQT is 4.7.

Not exactly, because he will no longer be a Spur when tournament starts. Batum is in similiar situation as Marjanović, he wants to play but he is a free agent, there is a huge risk for these players to get hurt and miss out on a good contract and a lot of money. NBA teams can't forbid players to play for national teams, they only could recommend to stay in USA for summer. And it's up to players really.
