Essentially Canada and Mexico are battling for 2nd spot on the medal table with this gold in diving now.

Canada obviously took a hit in the gold medal column thanks to not sending its strongest team, but also suffering here are Cuba, Colombia and Venezuela. On the flip side Brazil, Mexico and Argentina are performing better, but Mexico is getting an extra boost due to the new events added to the program where they have currently won five gold medals from their current total of 17.
