Exactly, same for Japan for example. While in the Netherlands, it's more like cycling, with different commercial teams. Which very much raises the overall quality, as shown in the past 20+ years, but isn't good for team stuff  

 

Just like there's no way Bergsma and Kramer are going to work together in the mass start. No way.

It's unfortunate that we always have to question an unexpected good result from Russian athletes, but they (and the IOC along with other governing bodies) have done it to themselves.
