I told you Ajax was good this season.

They even had the best chances to win. Really nice football with young energetic players.

Bayern should thank Neuer for saving them after that free kick in injury time, that was close :yikes:

Bayern is so pathetic depending on 2 grand parents carrying offence and 2 losers back in defence Boateng and the heavy slow Sule , bayern already lost to average Hertha Berlin last week in Bundesliga , but ofc great result for Ajax They were the better side in 2nd half and they could have easily won

Another surprise made by Cska Moscow as they defeated Real 1-0 , only 1 tie and 2 losses at the last 3 matches

Miracle in Moscow. In the summer, we lost 9 (!!!) important players in the main squad and buy noname players and loan Vlasic - Everton's reserve player. Half the team are kids. Before the start of the season, all the experts said that CSKA would be in the middle of the national championship table and the chances of points in the matches with Plzen. And against them are world champions and champions league winners (Navas, Kroos, Modric, Asensio etc)

Our team today:

Akinfeev (32, Russia national football team)

Mario Fernandes (28, Russia national football team)

Becao (22, no team)

Chernov (22, Russia U-21)

Nababkin (32, no team)

Dzagoev(28, Russia national football team)

Bijol (19, Slovenia U-21)

Akhmetov (20, Russia U-21)

Oblyakov (20, Russia U-21)

Vlasic (20, Croatia U-21)

Chalov (20. Russia U-21)

Substitute:

Kyrnats (20, no team)

Efremov (23, no team)

Sigurdsson (19, Iceland U-21)

And now we are 4th in the championship and 1st in the Champions League.

You clearly don't know much about Bayern if you think that Boateng/Hummels should be selected ahead of Süle. Boateng, Martinez, Ribery, Müller and Robben have no place in this team. The team should be Neuer-Alaba-Hummels-Süle-Kimmich-Thiago-Sanches/Tolisso-James-Coman-Gnabry-Lewandowski. The injuries of Tolisso and especially Tolisso hurt the team, but the bigger problem is that for some reason Hoeneß seems to have a problem with spending money. Of course there is also the problem of finding someone who can replace Ribery/Robben, there are maybe 5 players in the world who are as good as those 2 were about 5 years ago and all of them are impossible to get. Bayern has to realize that they have to rebuild with players like Sanches, Coman, Gnabry, Davies and talented young players who are still affordable (like Havertz for example). Nonetheless Bayern still would have easily won against this Ajax side last season under Heynckes. Kovac is clearly not good enough to coach a team like Bayern and Bayern should try to get Klopp/Tuchel/Nagelsmann/Rose as fast as possible.

Iam following Bayern since years and i could easily say Sule doesn't fit a team like bayern or German national team , didn/t say Boateng is better he's as slow as him even hummels isn't anyhow close to his best days but he's still better than the 2 , Bayern Management is his main problem it's not logic that the team doesn't sign any players if only they're very cheap , bayern is a very rich club and if u want to win UCL u must sign world class players or at least have good subsitutes in each position , Kovac was definitely no good choice and maybe he does fit the low spending strategy of management , but now all these names and others are connected to other clubs so it'd be difinetely so hard to sack him now , i don't think they would sign Zidane for example , anyway german teams need to be under real investors who can spend much money , bundesliga is getting weaker every year

Boateng is the weakest out of those 3 and Süle is probably the strongest, most Bayern fans agree on that. Next year Bayern will probably buy Pavard or they will first try whether Lukas Mai is good enough already to play on that level. Like i said before, there aren't many offensive players who are affordable and would help Bayern. Hazard, Dembele, Mbappe, Neymar, Couthino, Salah, Mane are too expansive and have no reason to change clubs. Younger players like Pulisic haven't proven so far that they can make the difference on the highest levels. I think Bayern should have bought Martial, he could have played as a winger and a striker. If Bayern would have a better coach (Nagelsmann and Tuchel were all available, Rose probably as well) then i honestly believe that with the formation i mentioned before, they still would have had a good chance at winning the champions league. Now as a Bayern fan you should pray that Tuchel/Rose takes over next season and that 2 out of Coman/Gnabry/Davies become world class or that Bayern buys another talent who then quickly becomes world class. Currently it's just unrealistic for Bayern to sign a world class winger, maybe the best solution would be to try a completely different system. Juventus doesn't have world-class wingers either and they are doing just fine.

Attachment is the great fabricator of illusions; reality can be obtained only by someone who is detached.

Incredible round 2 for :ITA teams :cheer: won 4/4 !!!!!!!!

Napoli did a great match, and defeated Liverpool with a tactical masterpiece (conceded 0 shot on target!!)

Inter come back over a PSV thanks their top-players, more easy to predict other two wins for Roma and Juve

Last "Italian poker" (4/4 in UCL) was in 2005.

    • I think the reason is that it's generally preferable to have a fast shooter in the 1st leg, and especially in the prone shooting, where Hofer is quite slow.   Now, I'm not saying I agree with the choice, because I don't. I think it's going to neutralize Giacomel's skiing skills in the 1st lap at least.   I guess the idea is to try and set a very fast pace in the 1st leg, which is usually quite tactical, but I'm afraid that's going to force Giacomel to risk too much because he will feel he has to make some time somehow.   Regardless, Italy must be on the podium tomorrow. I think that would be crucial for the following races as well. I think France is the clear favorite, but the other teams are not stronger than Italy on paper.
