With the results of Cagliari,  obtains the third men's quota (Alberto Gonzáles is 30th in the Olympic Ranking).

For the second Olympics in a row we managed to finish first under the qualifying line, despite being more than 80% of the qualifying period in. That is some achievement, maybe third time will be a charm and LA will see a return of slovak triathlete, but obviously will not happen, everybody sane knows that.
