Swimming Qualification to Summer Olympic Games Paris 2024

"Mare Norstrum" in Barcelona

 

Rūta Meilutytė doesn't qualify to the A final in the women's 100m Breaststroke, but swims an olympic Q mark in the B final later that same evening.

She is the second Lithuanian Olympian after Danas Rapšys in 200m and 400m Freestyle.

During competition Mare Norstrum in Barcelona :POL Laura Bernat (women's 200m backstroke) and Krzysztof Chmielewski (men's 200m buttefly) qualified to Paris Olympics. They are first two officialy qualified Polish swimmers as previously qualified Katarzyna Wasick (women's 50m freestyle) and Adela Piskorska (200m backstroke) aren't counted since our swimming federation marks May 15th 2023 first day from which our swimmers can qualify to Olympics.

Adela Piskorska did qualified in women's 200m backstroke during next competition Mare Norstrum :)

    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
