Equestrian Qualification to Summer Olympic Games Paris 2024

Meh, very few changes when compared to Tokyo.

Eventing will have 16 teams instead of 15. Pan America made slight changes to their individual qualification in all three disciplines. That's about it.

Here is the complete Paris 2024 overview.

Apparently this is only the first proposal. The feedback period from the federations starts now.

Feedbacks from the NFs are back. :d

And damn... Some of these federations are just delusional. This mostly includes all these federations who believe that teams of 4 can make a comeback just because each team is entitled to enter an alternate athlete. As if the IOC would even consider raising the number of quotas from 200 to 251 (!!), which would be a necessity for the teams of 4 to be back.

Czech Republic. "Jumping: teams of 4, while maintaining advance of 2 teams from the special qualifying competition of our qualifying group C, as per proposal". :roflmao: Okay, Czech Republic, whatever you say. I would also like if Olympic quotas could grow on trees.

Austria is uber-bitter over Max Kuhner not making the Olympics in jumping. They propose the most ludicrous MER system ever. And Kuhner is not even a real Austrian. He is a German who took an easy way out (in terms of making championships)! :p

Kudos to the United States federation who clearly raised the best points. Even if teams of 4 coming back is unlikely if not impossible.

Uruguay wrote a whole essay for eventing. They are perhaps announcing their intent of qualificationright here.

    • It's hard to believe it was still in this calendar year
    • In last year, we were were happy with Brignone's wins, and today we're excite that della Mea is in the top 10... It's hard to imagine a bigger fall... And Goggia should give up on the giant slalom and focus on the speed events – Vonn isn't wasting time on the giant slalom, but is training for downhill and SG. Goggia last one finished on the podium in the giant slalom in march 2018, and she has no any chance of winning an Olympic medal at the regular competition. It's a waste of time and energy to finish 8th or 9th and risk injury. And we have to accept that without Brignone, we have no chance of winning a medal in the giant slalom in Cortina, and that's it.
    • yeah, just like Anna Trocker earlier Today   I think this is the best way to blow them    they're not ready for the world cup stage yet, but we're so bad right now that our coaches are digging deep
    • Some surprises and fun results so far at this year's Worlds. Like a few minutes ago, when  Harrysson made the 1/8 with another very good performance. Now he plays Jonny Clayton, who this afternoon made a stellar performance in a tough battle with Zonneveld. I don't see an easy match for Clayton, even though on paper he would have wished such an opponent for a 1/8 before the tournament.   Also i'm delighted that my fav Gary Anderson seems to be in good form, though at his age, he is prone to sudden bad matches at any time.
