The Rivera Autodrome hosted the TCR South America. I've never been there, I should visit someday.

In rugby, the Teros defeated Romania 26-20 in the second tour test match.

In handball, the Uruguay women's under-18 team is travelling to North Macedonia to play the Women's Youth World Championship.

We have only two players from non-Uruguayan clubs, Savina Bergara and Emiliana Heilmann (both in Spanish clubs).

They are in group G, together with Norway, Czech Republic and Brazil.

In athletics, Déborah Rodríguez did 2'03.04 at the 800 m event of the World Championships. That's 3 seconds above her record.

In rowing, there's 14 Uruguayans competing at the Under-23 World Championship (actually one entered an under-19 event). There's plenty of expectations, especially from Felipe Klüver.

In basketball, the Uruguay women's national team is set for the South American Championship to be held in San Luis, Argentina.

Of the 12 players, there's two playing in the United States (Agustina Talasimov and Ana Lua Döring Speranza), one in Spain (Florencia Niski), and one in Argentina (Josefina Zeballos). Also notable is Camila Kirschenbaum, who returned from the United States for family reasons.

The FIBA World Cup Qualifier in P.R. is a throwaway tour- nament for Team USA after the Gold Medal Game debacle. This is the perfect environment to test the Young Guns to see who has it, who does not, and who needs more devel- opment. The 2026 FIBA World Cup in Berlin is the tuneup for 2028 in L.A. • I'm also reminded as I know Canadians are painfully aware that if figures hadn't been a part of the 1984 Olympics, then Brian Orser would have won gold.  Hamilton could have finished 4th in the free skate that year and still beat Orser who finished 7th in the figures

    • Can I purposely make them there to show that they are a completely different country?
    • We have two names, artistic skating or artistic riding
    • I would like to see the Summer Games in Italy after long time ago: 1960, especially since the last times we have only had winter editions, but with this political class it will be difficult First of all, such games should serve to promote and strengthen local sport, and we have a problem with that. If I remember good, that, 1960 was a very successful year for us in sports - maybe some normal people were still in power in that time, no idiots, like now?
    • If a credible bid had come across the IOC's radar it would have been awarded by now imo. Which western country is going to submit a good bid and get the games?
