Emiliano Lasa won in Brazil with an excellent 8,11 m long jump. In the Netherlands, Andrés Zamora did his personal best at the marathon with 2:14'18, but missed the Olympic mark. The Uruguayan women's 3x3 basketball team at the Olympic qualifiers in Graz will be Florencia Somma, Sabina Bello (both Malvín), Aldaya Gayoso (Defensor Sporting) and Victoria Pereyra (Lagomar). María Pía Fernández (1500 m) was silver with 4'15.27. Santiago Catrofe (1500 m) was bronze with 3'38.67. Nicolás and Martín Cuestas (10,000 m) were silver and bronze with 29'38 and 29'47. Judokas Mikael Aprahamian and Rodrigo Gamou lost in first round of the World Championships.
