  1. Past hour
  2. Third medal of the week! Women’s team free won silver, with 297.5853 points! Well behind Japan’s 323.3207, but about a 34 point improvement on their Doha score, wow!!
  3. Today
  4. Right when Matthews comes back Maybe he was the problem
  5. Yet another Game 7 loss by the Maple Leafs
  6. They have other options which makes me wonder why they're using Makwala.
  7. We might need that in order to qualify. Same for Robinson in the men’s 4x400m relay (assuming Misner-Daley did in fact ease up at the end, and didn’t run out of gas)
  8. Can morales run twice within two hours?
  9. I'm pretty sure they added this now because I don't remember reading before. but the 4x400 mixed is still a bit of blur. Perhaps bigger countries can take other athletes, but in the end I doubt this will happen, so ok.
  10. I've just rewatched it and I still think he would have been fine. The Kenyan starts dying as soon as they hit the home straight. Bonavacia not long after. Then the Qatari. Davey is the only one who is actually accelerating on that home stretch. Room opens up quickly in those scenarios. Basically there was always going to be a gap on one side of the Qatari. Had he not left the gap on the inside that Davey took, there would have been a bigger gap on the outside between him and Bonavacia. The only way Davey wasn't likely to find a gap in my opinion is if Bonavacia hadn't died. And even then I think he would probably have been fine with judicious use of elbows. The biggest 'risk' he took was assuming that they were all going to die coming home. That was a chance. But it was a sound choice in the end. That's 4x4 relays for you!
  11. Lauren Gale ran well though… Callum Robinson was also one of the highlights. Madeline Price was decent, so she might get changed. Tyler Floyd is for sure out. I would switch Price with Constantine, and Floyd with ? (honestly unsure)

  15. I don't think it would be so easy for him to move out on the back straight For the first 10-15 metres, he was boxed in by the Dutch and the Kenyan with the Qatari in front. His only path to the outside would have been to get between the Qatari and the Dutchman and he wouldn't have been able to do that without impeding on or other of them until they were in the last 10-20 metres of the race. But as you say, all that really mattered was getting in to the top two.
  16. drew in the repechage in the men's 4x400
  17. If Botswana can find a 4th leg from someone younger than Makwala they are serious gold medal contenders in the mens 4x4 in Paris. The other 3 legs were outstanding.

  19. We defended ourselves, but the women's 4x100 relay team on big -. I hope for her promotion tomorrow or possibly Jamaica's promotion and Costa d'Avorio = 1st place in the ranking. I'm worried about the mix - without 2 changes there is no chance for the amount.

  21. For the mixed, Id bring in the two women with the fastest split in the women's 4x400 relay. There is an opportunity to qualify.
  22. Not exactly, tomorrow at the same time as is now I will wake up to work in 30 minutes...
  23. Disagree. Davey was smart. Everyone else charged off and died. Even if the gap on the inside hadn't opened he had room to move out. That was always the weakest of our 5 teams. Both Dobson and Young would be with MHS and Davey in the first choice team of those selected today (both AHW and Brier would be on past form but neither were selected today). Getting the job done was the only thing that mattered and they did that.
  24. 3/5 ain't bad. The mixed relay has a pretty favourable draw tomorrow, so we'll see. The men's team....we'll see.
  25. Well that wasn't the disaster it could have been although part of me was kind of hoping for a Kilty to Ujah handover, a dropped baton followed by a punch-up on the track but I'm happy with 4 quotas. Same time tomorrow everyone? Time to catch some
