Haven't kept this up to date...but looks like the Men didn't do well enough to field a team for the Relay in Milano. But Andrew Heo did score our one and only gold in Dordrecht in the 500m!

Team USA 2026 Men - TBD Women - TBD History The only USA medal came the first time ski jumping was contested at the first Winter Olympics, back in 1924 Chamonix. It was a bronze, and interestingly enough, he wasn't awarded the medal until 50 years later when an error in calculations was discovered. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ski_jumping_at_the_1924_Winter_Olympics#Results Based on last year's World Cup (zero medals), it doesn't seem like we have a lot of hope for the podium this year.

Slopestyle in Stubai only managed to get the W Qualis done. Grace Henderson and Marin Hamill made it into the Top 8.

Team USA 2026 2-Man: TBD 4-Man: TBD Woman Monobob: TBD 2-Woman: TBD History We've medaled every year since 2002, though Germany has been on top recently. We're 3rd overall historically.

But Florian and Ro earned 5th in Mixed Team.

Austin Florian was 10th in Cortina, including marking a track record for the start time on each run.. Mystique Ro didn't have a good first run.

Team USA 2026 Men's - TBD Women's - TBD Mixed Team - TBD History Our last medals were in 2014. Mystique Ro won Silver in the 2025 WCh. She and Austin Florian won Gold at the Mixed Team event.

And for the first time since 2002.. John Shuster will not be curling in the Olympics for Team USA. He loses the best-of-3 to Danny Casper. Casper now heads to the OQE to try and secure their spot in Milan

When the schedules came out for LA2028, decided to come back over here. I'll probably be around a lot between now and February! I discovered something interesting.. this is the 4th Olympic trials they've used this format with a best-of-3 series to determine the winner. All 4 men's tournaments have gone to a 3rd game. And as they noted on the broadcast last night, it's the 3rd straight time Shuster lost the first game. I remember watching 4 years ago and it was excruciating because I wanted both Shuster and Dropkin to win, but someone had to lose. This time though, whoever wins here still has to go through the OQE. So I feel more confident in that with Shuster than with Casper's team. Plus that would be really something for Shuster to make a 6th straight Olympics and to be competing for the 2nd time in Italy!

And another good day for the American women in Levi for the Slalom. Shiffrin with Gold, Moltzan in 4th. AJ Hurt DNFed. The men? That's another story.

And Team Peterson locked it in yesterday for the Women. They were the squad who went to Beijing in 2022 and finished sixth...all the best at the OQE! (Also, nice to have someone else posting in the Team USA club, @Quaker2001!)

John Shuster with a clutch draw on the last rock of the 10th end. Series against Danny Casper is tied 1-1. They'll play a 3rd game tomorrow to decide who will represent the United States at the Olympic Qualifying Event next month.

Team USA 2026 Men - TBD Women - TBD History In 2022, the USA earned 1 gold and 2 bronzes, which was an increase for us. The Netherlands generally dominates this sport. We have Jordan Stolz for the men, and he's got a great chance of earning multiple medals. We'll see!

NHK Trophy...Green & Parsons were our third ice dancing pair to medal...no other medals this time. Coming home to skate next week!

Skate Canada... Shocker! Ilia Malinin won big time. Good to see Isabeau Levito win silver for the Women. Kam and O'Shea won bronze. Carreira and Ponomarenko were one point off the podium for the dancers.

What a great start for the women. 6 in the top 20 of the W Giant Slalom in Sölden Paula Moltzan - 2nd Mikaela Shiffrin - 4th Nina O'Brien - 6th Katie Hensien - 12th A.J. Hurt - 13th Elisabeth Bocock - 19th (The men only saw River Radamus into the top 30.)

After the Cup of China... Amber and Alysa went 1-2 in the Women's comp. Chock/Bates and Zingas/Kolesnik went 1-2 in Ice Dance. Green/Parsons withdrew due to injury. Camden withdrew and was replaced by Tomoki Hiwatashi, who was a distant 4th. Sanchez was 7th. McBeath/Parkman finished 7th.
