We (TORINO FC) lost much time and very much points, now need a "EPIC" climb for retain the Serie A :mirror:

Jozef Vengloš a legend of SVK and TCH football passed away tonight at 85.


RIP Legend..



He was the first coach of Slovak NT after the independence. He was the coach of the Czechoslovak NT which won the 1976 European championships in Belgrade and won bronze at the 1980 EURO in Italy.


in 1972 he was the coach of the U23 European champions.


Was also the coach of the last Czechoslovak NT at the World Cup in 1990 in Italy and led the team to the quarterfinals. He qualified the former country to 2 World Cups (1982 & 1990)


First ever coach born outside of :GBR or :IRL being a manager of an English premier league team.  Aston Villa from 1991.


Was also coach of Australia (he was only 33 years old), Oman and Malaysia.


Known in Gb as "Doctor Joe" never played for Czechoslovakia at seniors level because of a serious injury when he was part of the Olympic selection of the country. FIFA awarded him the Order of Merit

Something unusual in Slovak football.


Coach of our U19 NT called for the upcoming match against Hungary 2 interesting names. a :FRA and :YEM boys, both have slovak mothers and decided to play for our small lovely country :d


Johan Morel  (French father/Slovak Mother) play in :FRA Juniors league for AS Nancyêtre-en-sélection-m-a-apporté-beaucoup-d-expérience


and a certain Fares Adel Abdo Shudeiwa (Yemeni father/Slovak Mother) play already in the seniors team in Czech 2nd League for Jihlava
