  1. we are completely futile when it comes to some lobbying skills or behind-the-scenes pressure and fights for our case. This is nothing new, we have so much experience with unsuccessful protests and unjust decisions towards our athletes that, in fact, such things do not bother us so much anymore , obviously if it is not about hockey. then you can expect pitchforks and riots in your social medias
  2. Norway. As the highest ranked IIHF nation non qualified (11th). it looks like 1 or 2 games between and a KHL team (still no officially announced which one) will be played during the 13-15 november period. Match(es) will be attended by 5 IIHF officials who will then evalute if China will be allowed to paricipate at the tournament. To make it fair the match(es) will be streamed live and free through the whole globe.

  5. New updates about our favorite pre-olympics time telenovela. Found this on the specialized hockey forum send by a Norwegian user. Here is the copy/paste of his post China will play against a russian KHL team 13 and 15 november according to norwegian hockey president Tage Pettersen. The game will be streamed on internet and is open for everyone. Luc Tardif (president iihf) and IIHF will pick out 5 experts that will monitor the games and decide if China is suited to take part in the men's icehockey olympic tournament. Norwegian back Bonsaksen says to VG, it's not good for the sport if a team is beaten 30-0.. Tardif fear for the sports reputation if a team loses 30-0 Both VG and nytimes have articles about this. Also remember to follow the covid situation, they are updated on weekly basis, the Tatras (Poprad) district will be next week in black color, but can change every week, In black districts the events may be cancelled or allowed with only limited participation. But fully vaccinated person should be fine to move there however the problem should be with accomodations since hotels must be closed during the black color weeks. you can find the colors in the bottom, updated every Tuesday for the next week. 10. Matúš Strnisko won in -86kg 3:2 against Rogerio Romero of Mexico. The next day arrived a letter to our team that after Mexican protest AIBA changed the result 2:3 in favor of the Mexican without possibility of another appeal Our team only after asking AIBA why we were not informed about the Mexican appeal and the subsequent "investigations" at all, only then received just a official paper stating only sternly that two of the three investigating judges had changed the result of second round in favor of the Mexican. Interestingly enough the judges viewed only the 2nd round not the entire match Oh man, I love this sport

Adam with first 3 points of the season... not great, not terrible Win for Odermatt in a borrowed bib number, he lost the original one somewhere over the lunch, so he had to write the number seven with a marker. Happy for Kranjec and his podium after the family tragedy. All in all nice opening race, already looking forward for the rest of the season
