  1. Anyone watched last year´s SVK/UKR film the Line ? I strongly recommend ! SVK films are usually just lame, boring and weird as heck, but this one is definitely one of the best SVK movies of all our cinematography history + very good cast with very famous and credible SVK actors and just the best of best of UKR actors. The movie had it´s first world premiere in Karlovy Vary international festival and won it, The film triumphed also in the other festival they decided to participate in Arras (FRA) Some trailers (Use ENG subtitles) this one

  5. Mascot revealed, still unnamed though You can chose the name and win the WCh package
  6. Well, it´s still the biggest city of the country with 450.000 inhabitants it´s almost 12% of the whole SVK population, so even if in comparison with other countries, it is one of the smaller capitals of Europe but still the country's largest city

  9. +2021 the Canoe Slalom WCh in Bratislava-Čunovo How could I forget the second most important event ?
  10. Another senior Olympic sport European championship in Slovakia. I´m impressed Several major events will be held in SVK in the near future. The top of the top is ofc next year the Ice Hockey worlds, followed then by the European Women´s Volleyball, in 2021 the Summer EYOF in Košice and 2022 Men´s European Handball EURO
  11. Hard to take seriously someone named Regan
  12. Highlights - Sunday 12 August 2018 Morning Evening
  13. I heard somewhere, that they are envisaging to continue this project in 4 years again, and apparently some new Sports federations already presented their interest to enter this project. so let see, if this "event" will have some bright future and replace the European "joke" Games. From our view, a bit disappointing games, we expected two medals from Tóth and Sagan, but sadly Peter is still not OK as we could see today, anyway, he is a great champion, and when he´ll recover he´ll be again back on the top, no doubts about. Tóth was our favorite for gold, but the weather was his biggest opponent and he finished second (After a immense fight) so ok with this too. There were no expectations from our other participants here, but only 1 medal is really too small, ofc the fact that some sports were missing didn´t helped our chances like Shooting (Or shooters won 7 medals from senior events at the currently held Europeans Shotgun championships) + no canoeing here obviously reduced our chances too.
  14. Final Medal Table. 34 Countries won at least 1 medal. Azerbaijan became today the last nation to reach the podium Note: This medal table does not include the medals won by athletes competing as Authorised Neutral Athletes (Russia in Athletics).
  15. Now it´s official. Veleba the 2nd leg is injured, they just wanted to show up , since they did qualified for the final and only then quit the race
  16. Men´s 4x100m Relay 1. Great Britain (Ujah/Hughes/Gemili/Aikines-Aryeetey) 37.80 2. Turkey (Barnes/Harvey/Hekimoglu/Guliyev) 37.98 3. Netherlands (Garia/Martina/Paulina/Burnet) 38.03
  17. He was there as you could see during the entrance presentations, but suddenly had to run out to the stadium, maybe to the toilet, who knows ? so the team couldn´t start
  18. Veleba is not here, so the czechs had to return the baton
  19. Team Finland is looking like they just pulled them out of bed in the hotel
  20. Since nothing is happening right now, let me to made my personal recap of our athletics. All in all the goal was achieved, 3 places in top 10. was even overpassed 1 medal (Silver of Tóth) and 3 places in top 8 (6. Czáková in W 50 RW, 8. Veszelka in M TJ and 8. in W 4x400 Relay - the biggest surprise of the whole our championship here) + 1 top 12 (11. Lomnický in M Hammer) Other positive things, we had a lot of young athletes debuting here, some of them showed a really nice potential, like Daniela Ledecká in 400 Hurdles, with the new NU20R or the young Gajanová in 800 and Zapletalová in 400m. + Nice semifinal participations of Martin Kučera in M 400 H. In other side, we had also many disappointments, especially Ján Volko, the pressure of his first major events was probably too much for him (two 13th places in 100m expected, but in 200m was a huge disappointment ) hopefully with this new experience he´ll be able to stand all pressures more next time The biggest Disappointment clearly from Hrašnová in W HT.
