  1. TV direction missed the decisive moment in the men's marathon and when they, too late, were showing that, they also missed the decisive move in the women's marathon
  2. London has started, curious to see what Kiplimo can do after that half marathon joke WR (drafting behind a car most of the time)
  3. Ramona can definitely exist, of course, if it is within the rules there is no problem with it, although we should of course look at those results with a certain point of view Like track cycling records on 3km altitude, or swimming records in super suits. They count, but a 4:00.0 on 3km altitude is not as good as a 4:00.0 on sea level, just like a 70m in Ramona is very likely not a 'better throw' than a 70m in a stadium during major championships.
  4. Definitely. They want fewer field events, not more, so that ain't happening
  5. I know many think "Nice, shiny things, it must be great", but...what is it actually adding? So far, it adds a format where they combine two events in one 'set', which often don't really have much to do with one another, and resulting in 80% of the time being filled with waiting. While also entirely ignoring field events (I know, it's Grand Slam Track), which is basically half of the sport. If this gets big, I fear for field events, and with that, for the sport itself. We might end up with athletics being almost entirely running only.
  6. Yeah, I know it isn't happening, so I kinda hope the whole thing just flops and is done after 1 or 2 years Grand Slam Track is a bigger danger to athletics than anything Coe or whoever has done in the past 10-15 years.
  7. Now it's time to add field events, take away the illogical grouping of events and make sure the program is filled with stuff going on
  8. Damn... That's Clement Noel's Red Bull event of Sunday I think?
  9. That's not what I said When looking for lakes, I assume there are definitely options available (or are there also lesser-known rivers close to population centers that are not extremely polluted?).
  10. With swimming where, exactly? Don't name any river, please
  11. Meanwhile this Easter was marked by the death of Pope Francis, first Easter papal death in many, many centuries
  12. Odd, I see only one shorttrack session It's ok though, I am so far behind I decided for some things I'll just check the results, because they made me wonder if it's really worth spending an hour on when there are so many more recent things
  13. Was there talk about them not counting? I mean, Cheboksary counted too 'back in the day'
  14. Happy Easter to those who find that interesting, enjoy the tasty treats and chocolates and stuff And in the case of @hckošice of course enjoy drowning random girls on the street (unless I'm mistaken about that being an Easter thing)
  15. If only one could actually watch without a special weightlifting federation subscription
  16. Being the boss she is, she does this every year I believe Screw slowing down on purpose
  17. Yep, seems like also the Dutch wanted to get in on this miracle venue festival and rightly so, don't let the chance go for some extra meters
  18. Am I correct when saying there are only 10 full replays available for the Asian Winter Games of earlier this year? https://www.asiangameshub.com/events/harbin-2025 Wondering if I am missing something. Mostly the speed skating and shorttrack have my interest.
  19. Nice to see 4-time pre-2024 world champion (and silver plus triple bronze winner) Summer McIntosh be nominated for 'breakthrough of the year'
  20. https://i.imgur.com/lP8Fgt8.mp4 "How come you finished 4th again?" Ouch
  21. Pogacar with a massive case of overestimating his technical abilities.
  22. Yep, Pedersen would have been the only one who had a serious chance against them.. Philipsen as well maybe, since VdP let him get back.
  23. Flat for Pedersen, right when he was looking so strong
  24. Probably not helped by Livigno just being a massive pain in the ass in general in terms of 'reachability' (and the people there being convinced Livigno is the only place in the world that matters, but that's another thing entirely ).
