  1. It was assistent coach and former player Adam Szalai. He was brought to the locker room to rest up a bit, and then was taken away by ambulance, but without much haste: other than being somewhat groggy, it seems like he was getting better.
  2. Looks like the person has been taken away, hopefully in relatively ok condition, and we're continuing the match.
  3. Things have gone horribly wrong in the Netherlands - Hungary match. Someone from the Hungarian dugout started shaking and becoming very unwell, CPR has been or is being performed and the match has been suspended for a while now. No idea yet who it is (player, staff, no idea).
  4. First ever Brazilian global senior winter sports podium and it isn't Braathen
  5. World Cup podium for Nicole Rocha in Pyeongchang Start order made a massive difference, to be fair, even more so in the second run, but still
  6. Looks like the schedule in Sjusjoen has moved up, NRK now showing the women's sprint to start at 11 instead of 09.45
  7. Even inside Finland, I think? I checked Yle's schedule this morning, but couldn't find anything anywhere, at least for today's sprints.
  8. That has already been announced though She is aiming for Trondheim 2025, then probably goes back into retirement (then again, who knows, with the Olympics only one year away then).
  9. Apparently Talakhadze is going into politics, huh. https://iwf.sport/2024/11/11/lasha-out-of-world-championships-and-into-parliament-weightliftings-biggest-name-must-choose-sport-politics-or-both/ Quite a time to do so, in Georgia.
  10. That's not the point though Nobody caring about 'the pandemic' doesn't mean there can't be another pandemic, and apart from not wanting that anyway, we should absolutely want that even less with an antivaxer at the head of a health department.
  11. Timetables for Idre: https://www.skidskytte.se/folj-oss/nyheter/nyheter/2024-11-12-folj-sverigepremiaren-i-skidskytte Start lists and results should appear here: http://live.skidskytte.se/ And indeed on Eurovisionsports and I assume Swedish TV as well. Gonna be fun!
  12. Thanks, I always forget the name of the season opening in Sjusjoen, but yeah, Sesongstart it is Idre will be the easy one for me to find probably, @brunamoura is there right now and her coach will compete tomorrow, so getting some info on start times shouldn't be too hard
  13. Do you happen to have the full program for the ones in Sweden and Norway? Somehow I can't find them, which is probably on me, but still
  14. As always, one should hope for no pandemic, obviously, but with antivaxer RFK Jr at the wheel....oh boy
  15. Sorry. In that case, it would be a whopping 0 out of 20 medals that would be different, even better My point was that it's actually not that 'bad' in European table tennis, at least looking at top results (nothing compared to the Open Dagestani Championships in wrestling).
  16. It was more about the first tweet though. Who would've thought Trump of all people would employ a DEI 2.0 kind of strategy, where the D, E and I are replaced by only a single requirement (absolute loyalty to Trump)
  17. Exactly, if table tennis had the same rules, a full 2 or so out of 20 medals would be different indeed, massive (and about 3-4 or so the year before) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2024_European_Table_Tennis_Championships I kind of feel like in wrestling there is a significantly larger amount of Russians (Dagestani's mostly, I assume) in the top of the European levels than Asian players in table tennis (especially men's table tennis)
  18. Yes, but I think a majority of viewers haven't been there Not saying it's bad, and in the case of Beijing, most were pretty recognizable as well. It's just that the main thing in the design should always be recognizability, far and away ahead of everything else, and especially some Summer Olympics seem to put that on the backseat in favour of making something 'unique'.
  19. Considering the thing that matters for Trump is whether or not you are personally loyal to him, and not whatever you say about anything, who is left to still get some position? Tucker Carlson or something? I mean, if someone who is actively being investigated for underage sexual abuse and drug abuse (until he conveniently resigned so the report wouldn't be published just now) can be picked as AG, anything's possible
  20. Still wouldn't want an iconic dog around me though
  21. About the pictograms: I usually fail to see how they are tied to some city or country anyway, a slightly different line or font isn't going to make me think "Ah, Italy!" or "Yep, that's China!", so I am very happy with these ones They look super recognizable, especially for the Summer Olympics it's often a puzzle to connect every pictogram with a sport, here it's very clear
  22. Meanwhile also Elon Musk ('Government Efficiency') and some FOX News guy (Defense) have been put forward as likely nominees for ministerial posts. For now at least, we know there's going to be a 4 year tombola with people being hired as 'the best ever' and fired as 'a big loser' depending on how long they openly stay loyal to Trump (his words basically, loyalty to him personally is more important than good government).
  23. Imagine being a senator and even there having to have someone else's dog around you at a place where you're supposed to be able to focus on important things
  24. In cross-country there were never mixups like that. And trust me, the cross-country calendar/results page has been one of my most visited pages on all the internet for a few years now, for obvious reasons
