  1. http://www.nieuwsblad.be/cnt/dmf20160729_02404396 Tom Goegebuer has been staying on his strict diet in the past weeks, is what this brand new news article says...being the Belgians neighbours, I'll be cheering for him in Rio
  2. ESA is not European neither, unless you mean the European Space Agency. Don't seek a conspiracy everywhere
  3. It is, you just have to click on the word "Participants"
  4. Cool, I have a feeling she has Dutch roots judging by her name
  5. I didn't know they were allowed to do that at the Olympics..it's like a reserve so that they can still choose who'll actually fight?
  6. Besides, it's not like with normal preparation they would have been very likely to win a medal.. of course everyone wants to be at their best at the Olympics, but I know I'd definitely enjoy it if I would have the chance to suddenly go to Rio.
  7. He was there in 2012 for the last time too Rhode would be very nice, a true legend indeed, and not in a sport in which you can win a trainload of medals in one Olympics.
  8. The first two would be nice, Phelps will have enough extreme attention.
  9. Well I think there's always countries who announce it at the last moment. Like the Netherlands, our flagbearer is usually announced 1-2 days before the opening/closing ceremony
  10. That's weird...Russian would easily win if they go to CAS..unless Lebedev was positive at the qualifier of course.
  11. Well she still had to have a top-10 finish at the European championships. She didn't have that, because she finished 11th. One of the ten in front of her got disqualified and because of that she has reached our NOC's qualifying standards, I just have no idea who got disqualified
  12. I don't know who, but someone was disqualified from the European Championships and now Anne Terpstra will go for us to Rio because she needed a top-10 finish there to qualify and ended 11th (10th now with the DSQ)
  13. If she has been staying outside of Russia and away from the Russian state-sponsored doping system for the past 3-4 years or so, it would indeed be injustice that she can't go to Rio. Though as far as I know she hasn't been living in Monaco for a long time already. And no, Gatlin going to Rio is no justice.
  14. If you change "doping" to "cheating", the same thing goes for boxing
  15. Good decision probably, I don't think it will be of very much use to know exactly when the 3rd heat of a random event will start when all heats are one after another anyway
  16. Well you can withdraw anytime you want I guess
  17. And Jamaica is making me crazy with their stupid "alternates"...who will run the 110m hurdles out of McLeod, Parchment, Carter and Riley? Can't they just name three athletes like every other country?
  18. Do we already know for certain whether or not Orlando Ortega can compete in Rio?
  19. You are forgetting Rim Jong-sim who will be likely to beat her Edit: You mean the 2012 gold
