  1. Thanks! That'd be a nice feature, although it would be simple to not even need that feature if they simply don't put the top-3 on that page as I believe the Olympic results system often does (where one needs to have the page open and definitely shouldn't refresh it accidentally if not wanting to be spoiled yet)
  2. So if only one or two athletes ended up missing out despite the spots being available...tough luck, it was only fixed because it was more than one or two... Odd, but alright, it's something at least
  3. Am I missing something on the website, or is that usual page with timetables and start lists + results (in one page) still not there yet? https://www.european-athletics.com/competitions/european-athletics-championships/overview Edit: right, while waiting for the usual page, in the meantime at least there is this for the schedule: https://www.roma2024.eu/en/day-by-day-schedule/ That page doesn't look like it will have the usual clickable links to start lists and results, but who knows.
  4. Djokovic is having quite a tough time with Cerundolo, leading to a bunch of that frustration coming out and being directed at the umpire and organizers and grounds crew and everyone after a slip
  5. Well, that is shitty from EAA indeed. Just as stupid as in biathlon, where athletes who decide not to start in the pursuit (top-60 of the sprint) are never replaced by whoever finished 61st, 62nd etc.
  6. For those not in the loop: what about the heptathlon entries debacle? Edit: something with Sweden and Austria, I guess.
  7. So many stories that make me very glad people are allowed to choose to end their suffering, instead of spending weeks, months or even years longer in mental and/or physical hell just because someone else decided they have to. Coincidentally someone in my area (I don't know them personally) already knows they're going to die next week on Thursday. The only other option would be to wait for potentially another year until the cancer, which has spread everywhere, slowly eats them away while not being able to do anything but keep laying in bed.
  8. Rather busy weekend as basically per usual CL final Bit of cycling here and there Isle of Man TT races 24H Nurburgring Moto3, Moto2, MotoGP Tons of junior racing, F4, Red Bull Rookies and the likes European BMX championships IndyCar NASCAR Roland Garros Athletics Diamond League NHL playoffs It never ends
  9. Which I'm not a fan of (although it is a necessity I believe, due to teams from the 3rd level generally just not having the finances to play on a higher level) I'd love a system where one can promote and relegate from the top to the bottom and back though
  10. Ugh. How about you start by making yourself visible as an athlete, instead of so rarely competing in the first place?
  11. Also one of the big highlights on two wheels is happening right now. After a week of qualifying, today we start with racing at the Isle of Man TT races Live stream of excellent quality on TT+, 20 euro or so and it's definitely worth it Nice view of the madness that is the TT, with a camera inside the helmet of Davey Todd, the fastest man so far.
  12. At 16:00 CET today we have the start of the 24 hours of the Nürburgring, one of the biggest and most awesome races of the year Spotter's guide for the top class (SP 9): https://spotters.guide/resources/2024_ADAC_24h_SG_v1.2-1.pdf
  13. Yeah, I definitely agree something needs to improve in the entire system, I'm just not sure lifetime bans for every kind of doping offences are the way to go. Would definitely want to see some action in terms of changing things though.
  14. Maybe if we ask nicely someone like @ChandlerMne or @NikolaB wants to spend 2 minutes searching in Serbian if Boskovic will play the last week of the Nations League
  15. FOK!, it's entirely general about literally everything, but it includes a sports section where people of course also follow these things But again, a Serbian user here would definitely have much more to say about Boskovic' participation, I'm sure.
  16. Wouldn't this lead to every single match being a 'big match' and so every big match being nothing special anymore? Plus it'd probably destroy the sports in many countries, since at best 1 or 2 teams from most countries would even remotely stand a chance of having any kind of competition then. One might have like 10 different levels between which one can fight for promotion/relegation (we definitely should not have the closed market that is the North American system of sports), but good luck to a small team from, say, Ireland going to an away match against a small team from, say, Turkey, they aren't going to be able to keep paying that
  17. Definitely agree with the latter, not so sure about the former Much as I'd like to see actual cheats be removed forever, there are doping offences where genuine mistakes are involved (say contamination, which should lead to a ban because it can increase performance, but I wouldn't be a fan of a lifetime ban for that). No idea what would be the most fair way to deal with the whole thing though, glad I'm not a rulemaker
  18. Which you do, one of the few Olympians (kind of) on Totallympics is a Brazilian winter athlete, so....
  19. Someone on a Dutch forum posted "apparently Boskovic is scheduled to take part in the last week", so I assume he read that somewhere
  20. Fight for that last ticket quite literally can't be tighter now after a great day (for NED) yesterday
  21. For real? Because somewhere else I read Boskovic would be back then. Curious if any Serbian user has some news about that
  22. Which means cyclocross for example would be fine. Purely in that sense, because obviously it's just nowhere near international enough
  23. It would also make the days calmer, which is useful, but also takes away a bit of that Olympic magic where everyone is filled to the brim with sports from early morning to late night Plus it'd be harder with getting time off from work
  24. I think that is a big underestimation of especially the muscles needed for archery Right now there's already the eternal debate about darts being a sport or not, that would just get worse if included in the Olympics. Besides, I truly doubt any top level player has any serious interest in the Olympics, unlike for example athletes in some other sports that have actively been trying to get into the Olympics (sports climbing, for example). The Olympic tennis tournament is already something that doesn't feel like even 5% as important as a Grand Slam, with darts that would be way less I think.
  25. As a big fan of darts: I absolutely hope not That will genuinely receive more criticism than breaking.
