  1. Waylon's entire appearance, from the hat to the leopard-like print to the boots, makes me want to poke my eyes out Go Hungary
  2. I'm all for a unified Korean team, but for fuck's sake...from the very beginning of the tournament. This is just...disgusting and so respectless.
  3. Look a few posts earlier, where you posted the same thing and there were some reactions
  4. Welcome USA to the club of countries not taking care of their athletes (like Kenya, where I remember a case of a world-class athlete having to fly cheap because some federation official had to fly business class).
  5. Or because Makhloufi didn't use enough
  6. I am so going to watch that when that happens.
  7. Crap. That's sad because Pozzato and sad because undisclosed personal reasons are never good...
  8. "Dominated world championships over the years". Right, which suggests multiple world titles in the past, let's say, 10 years. - David Rudisha - Asbel Kiprop - Ezekiel Kemboi - Vivian Cheruiyot - Edna Kiplagat - Abel Kirui (although his last title is 7 years ago) Those seem to be the only options, unless they're very much exaggerating the 'dominated world championships' part..
  9. Astana is going to destroy everyone. Four mountain stage wins for Lopez to begin with, Bilbao, Hirt, Kangert and Lutsenko will all win an attackers stage and LuLu takes two stages as well in the prime of his career. Vinokourov got mad at the beginning of the year so everyone has been flying this year and they're not gonna stop Oh and Israel Cycling Academy is probably going to sprint with 2, 3 or even 4 riders every sprint again, leading to more results like one sprint with a 9th, 12th and 15th place like they often do this year, instead of actually focussing on one guy for the sprint. BORA-tactics.
  10. I won't complain about the entirely unneccesary use of "Men's Road Cycling", but can a mod at least take 'UCI' out? We don't need the federations name in every thread
  11. Yay Israel, I already can't wait to be thrown dead with Eurosport's non-stop Israel commercials. I also can't wait for the Tour de France to start in Taiwan and the Vuelta a España to get started in Botswana.
  12. Hello and welcome This could be useful, plus we have this introduction thread if you want. For questions you can always just ask it in this very thread or here, no problem
  13. I'm sure we will have many more years where at least once per year it's 1 May.
  14. I'm so glad 1 May is only 'celebrated' by a small group of semi-communists here and it's nothing official
  15. Estelle Mougel as well.
  16. And Ricco Gross has left the Russian team, with OEB being named as a potential replacement (for the position of men's head coach) Michael Greis is the new coach of the US team.
  17. For his sick goldfish, certainly?
  18. @Bearas @Werloc Could you give a short account of what happened there (has he reacted, how did they discover this, etc)? The English page requires a subscription and Lithuanian is not very much liked by Google Translate apparently
  19. I would like to say both 'Sad' and 'Haha'
  20. Now that we're talking about sex abuse in sports, there's also a story going on about Russian biathlon coach Sergey Tutmin, who apparently tried to get athlete Anna Moiseeva in his bed several times. All kinds of audio recordings where he 'advices' here that he should give her some massages and obviously she should take off certain clothes. She refused, which was a choice he gave her, although he rather clearly said that refusing him meant no help, good equipment whatsoever anymore. Oh, Moiseeva is 17.
  21. And Grosjean's crash? I think Ericsson is to blame, clearly visible in the replay where we see Grosjean crash
  22. How about Kimi vs Ocon? Or the Alonso - Sirotkin - Hülkenberg trifecta? I'm going for Ocon and Hülkenberg as riders to blame there.
  23. Oh well, it's not like we're going to agree anyway
  24. Because he was braking too late. Apart from that, he didn't anticipate the predictable defending, that's not very smart. Like I said before, Verstappen had some rather bad mistakes this year (one in each of the previous three weekends), but this wasn't really one of them
