  1. Time for the women's final, Keizer/Meppelink vs Betschart/Hüberli
  2. Probably only the Dutch matches, annoyingly.
  3. Thanks. Strange, it's not even visible for me on the channel. I guess I'll have to use Hola.
  4. I did, nothing. Can you give a direct link?
  5. I don't know where you see that, but I see nothing when I open FIH's YT channel.
  6. Well yes, but a result in cricket has 0 effect on this hockey World Cup Anyway, I get how someone might be a bit disappointed, but I think India should be happy with a good surprise
  7. Be that as it may, England definitely was the favorite in this match (which I think matters a lot more for them than the Gold Coast one, considering this is a home World Cup), so India getting a draw is a very good result for them.
  8. Satisfied? That should be celebrated...it's a surprise.
  9. It's a British athlete, in Great Britain. No freaking way this is gonna be called a world best instead of a world record (and probably a very prestigious one, which all of the athletics world is excited about now) at least until the weekend is over
  10. Yesterday was fun, but now in London we have a world record in the most prestigious and highly competitive event ever! The 28 year old WR in the men's 3000m race walk is gone!
  11. Bram Tankink did some maths yesterday in Belgium's evening talk show about the Tour de France ('Vive le Vélo'), about the average weight of riders in the top-20 of the GC 2005: 68.6kg 2010: 66.7kg 2017: 63.0kg Not that it says much with such a small sample, but still, interesting
  12. That is excellent news no matter what you think of any nation. Also, possibly not entirely unrelated:
  13. Nope, because I've never really trained running (apart from always a few times per year and then waiting for another year) or any other sport for that matter. Now I'm exercising a lot and I've added one or two running trainings per week to it since this month. My very first running goal was simply being able to run for 12 minutes straight, doing at least 2000 meters (which someone of my age (27) and health (no problems) should easily be able to do of course). I managed 2,14km yesterday, I'm taking it step by step until at least 2,5km Progress is progress, no matter how small
  14. I doubt it. Women's steeplechase only became an Olympic event in 2008 after being added to the world championships in 2005. I'm not saying going from 8:58 to 8:52 to 8:44 is all perfectly normal, but it's not strange for an event to make big steps in the 10-15 years after it became a main event, just because before (in this case) 2005 simply not enough athletes were interested and really pushing each other to the limits. I think we'll see the same thing happen with the women's 50km race walk, where I expect the WR to be shattered by a big margin more than once before 2030.

  16. You forgot the 'hide' '/hide' parts, 100% certain that people are going to forget to add that
  17. That's what they say now.....wait until strange reports start coming out of Alexandria. This is a new Netflix show in the making right there.
  18. It was already more than two weeks ago since we had a rather long blackout, but luckily we didn't make it to three weeks!
  19. Ah, the classic "my doping was in my tap water" excuse.
