  1. Because I already knew everything that was actually interesting, like every flag (a Google search revealed this is more topography than geography)
  2. Which mess exactly? Nykyforov being ahead of Heinzle because his 2nd best attempt is better than Heinze's?
  3. I'm curious what you said when Yared Shegumo won European silver in the 2014 marathon
  4. What on earth is a Skagerakk and how can I eat it?
  5. Yeah, imagine, a Dutch wrestler ever winning a world champs medal, never....
  6. Arzamasova in 2015. To be fair, she definitely didn't come as out of nowhere as Pryshchepa (as in, invisible during the season). At least Arzamasova had already been a regular Diamond League runner for a bit of time, and European champion in 2014, plus silver in 2012 and indoor bronze in between.
  7. And what is the news article?
  8. And what is the press release?
  9. OH MY GOD media is reporting a rider tested positive in the Volta a Portugal. Nobody saw that coming, ever! https://www.abola.pt/nnh/Noticias/Ver/744007
  10. Record it with a video camera, go until I pass out, consider that close enough to dying, play back the video when I'm back among the living. Easy.
  11. Campenaerts (on a good day) and Castroviejo are definitely among the 10 best time trial riders in the world, yes.
  12. Pryshchepa easy into the final again after yet another invisible pre-season.
  13. Incredibly stupid indeed, basically everyone with any real knowledge about athletics (ie coaches, athletes) who has said anything about this, said it's insane. Slightly understandable in an Olympic year (after all, you do want the best athletes to show up), bullcrap in a non-Olympic year.
  14. Nobody in the Netherlands cares about the Universiade neither (there's no news about it whatsoever), but at least last time the university sports federation in Brazil had enough money to even send a small team to the Winter Universiade in Kazakhstan. Yeah, somehow the 2016 Olympics even meant a huge financial boost for the winter federations in Brazil, oddly enough, but sadly that's now entirely gone. Personally I'm hoping my girlfriend will split away from the Brazilian snow sports federation and try and finance herself, because depending on the federation might be career-ending for all kinds of reasons. Anyhow, back to handball I guess Good start for the Dutch girls, beating Japan.
  15. Decent 67.72m for Kaul, but not more than decent. Still well in the hunt for bronze with that.
  16. Don't worry, when you get older, you will be stronger.
  17. Oh well, a good start would still most likely not have brought a medal
  18. A good individual final for Heemskerk, what on earth did I just witness?
