  1. Every time I see Nestor Colonia lifting, I get this song in my mind
  2. Well, luckily FIS has an absolutely huge database with basically every competition in it, so results can be searched and found there anyway (for example on the Totallympics results portal I don't see an option to search for only sprint competitions, or only competitions in Argentina, to name a few filters).
  3. Seven times world champion and national Armenian hero Yurik Vardanyan has died, aged 62. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yurik_Vardanyan
  4. Also in PDF's? And every single federation ever posts every result ever in the exact right table format? Edit: @Sindo You can probably move this whole results thread discussion to a problem/suggestion thread or something, we are kinda going offtopic in a cross-country thread
  5. Good music between the lifts
  6. Gooo Nestor Colonia
  7. How is it suddenly over?
  8. Ilyin is in Ashgabat as a coach and not to compete, because of a spinal injury. https://www.insidethegames.biz/articles/1071688/doubly-disqualified-ilyin-withdraws-from-2018-iwf-world-championships-on-eve-of-event
  9. Jenny Wiedeke is fucking hardcore. https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2018/feb/13/nobody-forced-you-to-go-down-fis-responds-to-riders-concern-over-high-winds
  10. I am really annoyed at not being able anymore to expand an event without opening a new page Now when you click on a name, it goes to a new page immediately, which is annoying, I don't want a new page being loaded all the time. I've sent an email saying I understand things nowadays have to look 'urban' and 'youthful', but at least an option like this should come back.
  11. Even here the schedules only say 'Start List' and not 'Results' for the events that have finished http://ashgabat2018.com/schedule/2018-11-01
  12. So in the men's 61kg, the numbers 2, 6 and 7 of last year compete in the B group today. The snatch gold last year was 136kg, Han Myeong-mok today starts with 135kg...in the B group
  13. So last year's bronze medalist was in the B group now and won it with 180kg, 2kg less than her bronze result of last year.
  14. Results of yesterday's session are still nowhere to be found At least this is the one for now:
  15. Yeah, it'd have been easier if she had found some Finnish guy like, I don't know, Jari Lauranen or something Soukalova/Koukalova-style
  16. Today is the first major day for the Dutch speed skaters, the Dutch World Cup Qualification Tournament starts today in Heerenveen First up is the 500m men, followed by the 1500m women and 5000m men. Entry list men: https://www.schaatsen.nl/media/37483/20181031-1700-deelnemers-heren.pdf Entry list women: https://www.schaatsen.nl/media/37482/20181031-1700-deelnemers-dames.pdf
  17. Yes I saw the discussion above, apparently the most knowledgeable people here (definitely not me) were quite clear in Biles being the deserved winner anyway.
  18. Where did they get so dramatically overscored?
  19. Miami, Vietnam, 2020 is going to be full...I wonder if they will actually happen since nothing is confirmed yet Meanwhile in the Netherlands the battle has been big in recent years (especially since Max Verstappen's entry) between Assen and Zandvoort and finally there seems to be news....according to a prince, who owns the historic Zandvoort track, Formula One Management has made an offer and if they sign it (costs are 30-40 million euros) the Grand Prix of the Netherlands will be back after 35 years in 2020, in Zandvoort https://www.telegraaf.nl/sport/2752533/formule-1-kiest-voor-zandvoort That'd be so freaking awesome, I love Zandvoort. Assen is cool too, but for motorbikes mostly, Zandvoort is one of the most charming tracks in the world, hidden in the dunes and right by the sea.
  20. It took me a really long time, but I think I finally managed to find out the identity of the co-commentator in the men's wrestling on the WrestlingTV videos After Shahinyan's bronze medal he was so happy about it, talking about how he shared rooms with Shahinyan and stuff like that, and saying things like "Always he was telling me that, Arsen I don't understand why it's not enough for me". First clues! The co-commentator is Armenian and not only that, he's called Arsen! The first suspect is Arsen Julfalakyan and after an interview of 2014 with him on YouTube, I think it's him This confirmed it basically: https://unitedworldwrestling.org/fr/node/5285?tab=match/335/seniors-gr-77-julfalakyana-arm-bjurbergkesa-swe/0defec85-b117-11e8-88eb-080027acf3d2 Because the mystery commentator was talking about how he beat this Swedish guy at that competition in Poland recently
  21. Yep, noticed it earlier today. Which suuuuucks because the classic FIS website was by far the best website of any sports federation in terms of easily finding results, athletes and statistics.
  22. By the way, can provisional results be found anywhere? I'd like to know the results of today's competitions, even though I know there were no A groups yet.
  23. This already sounds like an epic mess. Luckily it's in Turkmenistan so everything will be perfect
  24. That's literally 3 posts before your post
