    A world championship doesn't have to be 'necessary'. There's apparently enough interest from certain nations to participate, hence there's nothing wrong with having it.

    I noticed the same and was looking in awe in the first run how she managed to still run away from the rest while skiing so (for our relatively untrained eyes) effortless.
