  1. Not planning on following it, but it actually sounds like they've learned some lessons from earlier failed attempts (like last year's lovely AAF ) Only time will tell if it will work out.
  2. Don't know if I completely agree about that (except the highly flawed democracy part - Who the heck still think a caucus is a good idea?). It doesn't seem impossible that it'll end up in a brokered convention (Fivethirtyeight has it as the 3rd most likely outcome). At least we could be seing an actual race at least going on until late april. Iowa and NH has meant way too much to be fair in some primaries while in others not so much. It will be make or break for some candidates, but the field is still large and a lot can happen.
  3. That could very well be true. Numbers outside USA is usually estimated at about 50 millions. Canada takes up about 10 % of that. (they have even been at 9,5 millions, but lately it's been about 4,5). I would guess that it's decently high in Mexico as well. In Denmark it's about 100.000 (slightly higher last year, just below the year before that) which is pretty good in the middle of the night. Wouldn't be surprised if the 10 largest markets outside USA takes up half the viewers meaning a lot of small portions.
  4. Don't know how much of a difference in countries anymore. I believe the Super Bowl has viewers in close to 200 countries (5 years old info says available in 180 countries). But there are of course plenty of factors to compare. Just looked at viewer numbers as it's really the easiest one.
  5. The Champions League final has about double the viewers worldwide
  6. That good old Handegg comment never stops being funny (you are aware that it was named for the size, right?). And BTW there is some kicking as well 1. You are aware that the US is one of those very few countries who for some reason feels that the imperial system is the right one, right? That's not so much about the sport. Sure it would be nice if they went by meters, but as it is, it would be just as stupid if commentators felt like saying that they run 4,72 meters. 2. Boring? Well, that's a matter of taste, so fair enough. 3. Being a former handball player (not any high level) I would say that this comparison doesn't really work that well. It's an entirely different thing and there are some absolutely magnificent catches that I don't see a handball player making (well, maybe with some training they could, but it's an entirely different thing to catch a football at the speed and distance, very often after an all-out sprint). 4. A general thing about American sports. It has its pros and cons, but once again. That's USA, not the sport. 5. They are the best team in the world. It is in general a pretty secondary sport on a world basis (though the growing NFL fan base also means more teams and players worldwide). It's always a matter of taste. No doubt it's made a whole lot bigger than it actually is (nowhere near the biggest annual sporting event worldwide), but it matters to a lot in USA and more and more people (I believe) around the globe.
  7. That's pretty close to being the game winner!
  8. And as ever so often I'm out of snacks way before the end
  9. NFL without commercials... How is that possible?
  10. Damn. A fumble and an interception. Tough minute for Mahomes
  11. Wouldn't quite be one of my first picks
  12. Not terrible but not great. Felt like they wanted to play too much songs meaning some parts felt crammed in there. But well. I'm one of those guys who misses the post-nipplegate "safe" choices. Let's get some rock music back there
  13. Well. Songs like Waiting for tonight and Let's get loud did give me a bit of nostalgic feeling.
  14. Is it me who's tired or did that guitar part include a tiny snippet of Led Zeppelin's Kashmir?
  15. Garoppolo throwing surprisingly much so far.
  16. And here I'm doing with betting commercials with Magnus Carlsen and commercials for cat food and nasal spray. All in Norwegian (went for that one as it has American commentators and I'm not a big fan of the Danish).
  17. Not really that big news that there has been some suspicion about Astana in general and Fuglsang's massive season. Only really newsworthy if further investigations gives some proof.
  18. That sounds damn impressive. Don't think I would be doing that. I am strongly considering going with some gels as well. Have considered that as well, but I sadly don't really have a good place to put it.
  19. When going above an hour, do you run with a bottle, @heywoodu? I'm starting to get to the point where I need to consider hydration and nutrition during the run, and haven't quite figured out how I'll do it yet. I have a belt with up to 4 small bottles and did my first test using 2 today. 2 isn't much of a problem, but when using 4 I think it'll be rather irritating.
