  1. No news there!
  2. Believe me, we have had high hopes for those two and felt damn sad when Rajbek didn't make it. They're in much better time now it seems. I have no idea about how it is, but I know that figure skating has some way as well as we had Nikolaj Sørensen and Laurence Fournier Beaudry participating under the Danish flag eveen though Laurence was Canadian (and well, now they both are). I do find it rather odd myself.
  3. It's funny. You're the third person telling me that even though it's in a week. Hungary is the election to watch this sunday.
  4. The family fled to Denmark when he was 6, so yeah, pretty much Danish raised. But yet to become Danish citizen. I read somewhere that he is up for one of the required tests this summer meaning it should be possible to become citizen withing a year or so (In fine time for Olympic qualification unlike his big brother who sadly couldn't qualify for Tokyo)
  5. One thing I notice just now is the equestrian schedule. I have a hard time seeing eventing in 4 straight days with those sessions? Jumping is clearly last again (individual on day 8 and team on day 11) considering the 2½ hour sessions. What are your thoughts, @dcro?
  6. I'm happy that they don't, but it felt more like a one-time thing!
  7. Think my way too early personal schedule (not knowing the events) would be something like: D1: Time trial or rugby D2: Mountain bike or fencing D3: Mountain bike, gymnastics or archery D4: Triathlon and/or rugby D5: Triathlon or rowing D6: Rowing, badminton, tennis and/or swimming D7: BMX Racing D8: Golf, Road Cycling (if it makes sense with the route), possibly archery D9: Athletics, golf or road cycling D10: Beach volley, badminton or athletics D11: Track cyling, athletics and/or wrestling D12: Athletics or track cycling D13: Golf, track cycling or athletics D14: Athletics, track cycling, golf or football D15: Marathon, volleyball, table tennis or Canoe sprint D16: Marathon, basketball, track cycling Would be surprised if more than 5 days end up with the events mentioned, though.
  8. Both handball and hockey ending before the final weekend is just sad! If I can only go for a week, I guess I would go for the first one to get some triathlon, rugby and mountain bike action while track cycling would be the main thing in the 2nd half.
  9. Huh? Tahiti is behind France. It's saturday evening/night in France but saturday morning on Tahiti.
  10. On the graves of thousands of migrant workers?
  11. on the way to joining the boycott of the deadly Championships.
  12. That laser light! Ugh!
  13. Light's out in Poland. Great!
  14. Have watched 3 of the main movies (Dune, West Side Story and King Richard) and really enjoyed all 3. I have Nightmare Alley and Flee on my watchlist and may also go for The Power of the Dog and CODA.
  15. Would certainly love discussing the rights of Tibetans and people from Kashmir, but maybe the doping thread isn't quite the place?
  16. In no way saying that India should host, but in 2036 that's 26 years ago. How long does it take before they'll be allowed to forget those Games?
  17. I really don't mind the polls, but I really have a hard time voting for a lot of them. Sometimes I feel I have a decent opinion on some of the votes but no idea on others but I have to vote in all the polls. Therefore I don't end up voting all the time, because I don't want to "ruin" the poll. Making it possible to pass some of the votes would make it easier.
  18. The first 2 attempts have been pretty anticlimactic
  19. Graversgaard wins her heat! The magic of the hurdles!
  20. Huge shot put final!
  21. The machine clearly showed her moving before Perez, but moving before the gun is apparently legal as long as you don't leave the position. According to the Danish commentators, she was only DQ'ed because her hand actually touched the line.
  22. I'm half Swedish but that was without doubt the right decision in the end. BS rule that she could get out of that movement!
  23. I'm no fan of TikTok, but it is a huge platform from where a lot of people get their information. Working with influencers seems like a very logical step, also to prevent misinformation.
  24. According to Danish news, Gabriel "Iffe" Lundberg is set to join Phoenix Suns and thereby become Denmark's first NBA player! He played for CSKA Moscow but officially cancelled his contract yesterday.
  25. Table tennis and badminton are pretty clear to me (believe me, I really want to pick J-O, but Ma Long is ahead). Tough pick in tennis, but I ended up going with Serena though Graf was damn close.
