  1. Man. Haven't noticed this countdown before now! Another great job by @OlympicIRL!
  2. Meanwhile Søren Kragh who was a beast on 20th stage was 3rd. Sure it says a lot, but damn it's impressive riding the way he did in the mountains and finishing 3rd on a flat stage the day after! Meanwhile. You can say what you want about the way Froome won, but it's really a massive accomplishment to take the Tour-Vuelta double!
  3. In some countries it's still pretty popular. It's also still on in Norway and Sweden.
  4. For bigger countries, yeah. Not for smaller ones. In our (Denmark's) case, I don't see much more than a few sailing classes (49er FX, Laser Radial and possibly another one) as possibilities for extras. I could to some extent do with some more or less extreme situations (maybe something like the doubles in badminton), but it would need to only be a few.
  5. Do you have any idea why it seems to be going that way? I'm rather surprised to see Kirk do better than 3 dutch riders!
  6. Östersund! What a fantastic story (played 4th tier football as late as 2011)
  7. Today marked the start of European Tour tournament Made in Denmark. This is also the 500th European Tour tournament for Ryder Cup captain and Danish golfing legend, Thomas Bjørn. Some great scenes on the already wellknown 16th:
  8. Pretty decent Worlds for us so far. A rather disappointing loss for Astrup and Skaarup, but the rest of our seeded entries have done what's needed. And some of our secondary singles have done much better than expected with Emil Holst taking a set against Lin Dan and even more Mia Blichfeldt winning against 10th seed Sayaka Sato. But now it gets tougher. 6 entries are seeded to win today, but some of those are still very challenging. Meanwhile it will be interesting to see how young guy, Anders Antonsen, will do against Srikanth! Sadly the TV matches are mainly Chinese again.
  9. Apparently, yes. http://www.lavuelta.com/la-vuelta/2017/us/withdrawals.html
  10. I'm usually using http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/sport/matches.aspx?id=4A6A351C-463C-4229-8233-F7459FAD92B5&d=20170823
  11. According to Danish cycling site feltet.dk Trentin is the 100th rider to have won a stage in all 3 GT's. Impressive!
  12. Rather impressive, but apparently Wozzie just won for the first time agains a no. 1 ranked player!
  13. I think it would be wrong to say that it's not working. It's not unlikely that the dopers are still a step ahead in the fight, but it does also seem likely that there is less doping in the sport in the past. At least it seems unlikely that some new superdrug has been discovered http://veloclinic.tumblr.com/post/163303577538/tour-de-france-gc-performance-trends
  14. First of all, Jyske Bank Boxen has become a bit of a home field for indoor sports. Second, Herning is the city with the most national championships (16) and Jutland is generally dominant (the Champions haven't been from outside Jutland since 2002 and usually the losing finalist is from Jutland as well) Third, it's easier to pick another "home" team for Copenhagen than Herning, since Sweden is very close, which is a bit of help when it comes to selling tickets
  15. The interesting thing is that he's claiming not to be sick...
