How I've missed those pictures!

Rather interesting. I have some friends who had their flight to Accra cancelled this week. They managed to get a hotel, though.

I know that it's on Swedish TV (SVT1), but other than that I don't know.

slightly overweight though I've lost almost 5 kilos this year and am expecting to go down to normal weight (in BMI) before the end of the year.

Haven't been able to follow Melodifestivalen much this year, but I have heard the finalists and som of the songs in andra chancen and I'm indeed not very impressed. But sadly I feel that more and more the last few years.

I'm at 12 songs from 4 different artists in very different genres. Will take some time!

Laurence Fournier Beaudry and Nikolaj Sørensen have decided that they will represent Canada in the future with the 2022 Olympics as their ultimate goal. So sad, but understandable as they live and train in Canada making a change of Laurence's nationality unlikely. Due to this, they will stop competing on an international level for a year.

Good start with the team pursuit in the top 4 (at least)

Not approved yet? Shouldn't they have been so on the 4th? If they aren't we'll have to wait for the next EB meeting being 16-17th of march.

Maybe you can try the continental federations for those that you can't find.

I don't mind team events at all (I've been among the more positive towards some of those additions that were discussed for Tokyo (though I was very negative towards some, especially when they mean erasing good individual events)). I really enjoy the fencing team events and many others. What I don't enjoy is that they mean that it's so damn tough to qualify as an individual when you don't have 2 more great fencers. Especially as a European you can be an amazing fencer and not get into the Olympics because there are so few individual quotas.

Taking them out is absolutely another possibility. Personally I'm sceptical towards 2/3 of the quotas being decided by the team events, but pretty much every single extra individual spot is positive.

Though I know that it would be a controversial idea, I would say either that or make the team events into doubles events.

From what I see (2016 on wiki and the 2020 draft http://static.fie.org/uploads/18/92132-10.Tokyo 2020 - Qualification System - Fencing - ang.pdf) it's just the AOR spot for the Americas (compared to weapons with team events in 2016). They had 11 individual spots in 2016 and now 10 per weapon

But isn't that an AOR spot reserved for the Americas?
