ESPAÑA
David Bisbal - A Partir De Hoy
Lyrics (Spanish):
This Latin Pop song (with some influences of Flamenco) was released in 2018 as a collab between David Bisbal, one of the most popular Spanish singers since the early 2000s and Colombian singer Sebastián Yatra.

something interesting for you guys
this guy who won a gold medal yesterday and will probably win another one in next few days
https://olympics.com/en/paris-2024-paralympics/athlete/serkan-yildirim_2000715
is in fact the same person as this guy
https://worldathletics.org/athletes/islamic-republic-of-iran/sajjad-hashemiahangari-14422407
and he is not blind, he is a national record holder in Iran in 400m and 2012 Olympian
I'm no doctor but I highly doubt he is qualified to participate in Paralympics in T12 class. he probably has a better eyesight than some of us here.
there are other Iranians in Paralympics, paid to compete for Turkiye but only this one completely changed his name, guess why ? probably to not get identified. didn't work well.

Since when are protests against people breaking rules (on purpose or not) a shameful, disgusting thing?
I mean, is it also disgusting and shameful to protest when a runner stepped across the line in a 200m for example?

Lacrosse already had more than 40 nations competing at the last World Championship if you include the qualification round. Although taking a look at the results the difference between US/Canada and the other teams was huge.

Set Sails for Britannia - TISC Open 2024
As some of you may be aware we are fast approaching our next edition of TISC Open, the 24th iteration of our international song contest here on Totallympics.
As champions in the previous edition , Great Britain have been awarded the hosting rights and I’m delighted to announce that @Cinnamon Bun has accepted. This means that we will be travelling to Great Britain for the second time and for the first time since TISC Annual 2017!
Stay tuned in the coming days and weeks for the opening of the thread for TISC Open 2024!
Rule Change Proposal:
While we wait for the opening of the new thread we do a rule change we need to vote on as proposed by @Vektor after the previous edition. This vote is open to all previous participants of TISC. As you know TISC Open is only open to songs that are 5 years or older (released before December 31st, 2019). The new rule if implemented would allow newer version of a song to be chosen, providing the original version was released more than 5 years ago, and also the new release must also be sung or performed by the original artist (not a copy from another artist).
This is not specifically a rule change, more a clarification of the existing rule to make it clearer as to what is acceptable.
Do you agree with this change:
(a) Yes
(b) No
Voting closes on August 27th, 2024 so please cast your votes now . If the vote receives a majority vote then it will be written into the rules.

Genuine question, since you normally seem to be posting along quite normally in regular sports threads: are you perhaps on something? I mean, almost sounding like seeing the US as a victim in the world of sports, that's.....special, to say it mildly.
As I think almost every non-American would also like to know: Catelyn who, by the way?

Seven players (Unai Simón, Marc Cucurella, Martín Zubimendi, Mikel Merino, Mikel Oyarzabal, Pedri and Dani Olmo) were part of the team that won the silver medal 3 years ago in Tokyo. And fun fact, Oyarzabal scored in both finals.
This year Fermín López and Álex Baena will join the team in Paris. They have not played much in EURO so they won't be very tired for the Olympics.

Enhorabuena España!!! The best in Europe and one of the best teams in the world!! So well deserved this win.
and I don’t mind to see England in the final every euro if it means we’ll watch them loose the trophy every time.
it is NOT coming home!!!
