  1. even less... with the T20 format, it's 15 players each team (the 2/3 stand-by players could be "outside village" guys, like the fencing teams' reserves, and become official players only if and when they replace someone else), so 90 per gender for a 6-team tournament (which would be a farce, I hope they have at least 8 -2 groups of 4 + semis and medal matches, just to give the tournament a fair development) so, officially it could be 180 or 240 total players (depending if it's a 6 or 8-team tournament, both genders included)
  2. earlier Today, Zane Weir won the men's Shot Put in Padua with 22m44cm (he also had 22m22cm and 22m05cm throws) Joe Kovacs was second with 22m40cm (he also had a 22m39cm throw) World Silver medallst Leonardo Fabbri was 3rd with 21m49cm women's 100m World Champion Sha'Carri Richardson was also announced at the start of this meet, but finally she didn't show up Tomorrow night a really nice meet in Bellinzona will be on stage with a few interesting competitions star of the night is men's High Jump champion of everything Gianmarco Tamberi
  3. unfortunately, none! if he doesn't resign by himself (which is impossible, I fear), nobody will fire him before Paris 2024 only a full team boycott (he against all of us) could change the situation, but it won't happen

  7. no way, both in terms of people's recognition and also of results (in Baseball, are an established "big team", world champions in the last tournament without the MLB/NPB Pros, twice in the top 4 of the WBC, with almost all the best MLB/NPB Pros) even the infrastructures...Baseball's are way more present and developed in the Country
  8. windsurfing is OK, it's Kite that has nothing to do with sailing (and it's also a poor double of windsurfing in terms of format and action)

  12. in Europe, would surely choose Baseball because it's...I don't say popular, but at least it's well known, as it's regularly shown on TV (and they are somehow competitive on the field) and are the only 2 Countries that would choose without any doubt Cricket all the others, most likely would get rid of both, as they're unknown and with no people playing, resulting in any case a senseless investment, wasted money
  13. surely you know the area better than me...and if you say that the LA Metro Area has all those troubles, then I'm rather for the Lake Tahoe (or any other suitable place) option surely, I'm against the 1500m races in 2028
  14. I know, but then you have to find plans B, C, D and so on to keep up with all the principles, also the sports ones (and not only the economical and environmental agenda) I still think that everything can be done without coming to those white elefants, it's just a question of etics and honesty by all the people involved, organizers, administrators, politicians all around

  18. which makes it absolutely not suitable for any rowing Olympic/World Regatta I'm sorry, but you just can't completely change one of the oldest and most traditional sports of the Olympic program because you can't find a proper venue. since we're not talking of a small town/low budget Olympics, if they just don't want to go on with Lakle Perris because of the possible drought issues, they have enough time to study a good plan to remove the current bridge that shortened the original basin in Long Beach and rebuild it half a mile further (or in the same place just after the Games, asking locals to support the Games and be kind for a couple of years of heavy traffic problems) the sport of Rowing deserves a 2000m regatta course, no matters how
  19. I wrote it yesterday...I already knew they were going to flop big time
  20. I'm just asking myself who's Gaudiano's sponsor? I mean, every time he rides for the NT he messes everything up... ps calling De Luca (clearly our best rider by far) was such a shitty idea? I just can't believe how bad is managed the selection process of our team for the main events of the season...even in eventing (and I'm still trying to understand why we totally gave up the dressage team, especially after having the strong Russian woman -Miloserdova?- naturalized a few years ago)
  21. why travelling so far? they have a couple of suitable lakes close to the big town, one is Lake Casitas (used for the 1984 Olympics), the other (sorry, I don't remember the exact name right now without searching for it) was the place named for the 2028 Olympics in the candidature file they have just to stop whining and build a small athletes' village there and have the regatta in a proper location
  22. because they want to use the iconic Long Beach Marina and not the place that was chosen when they presented their bid if IOC and World rowing were serious institutions, they would have recalled the arrogant LA organizers to stay with the original plan same for the Slalom Canoeing Center in Oklahoma City rather than in the LA area
  23. you already tried this game with swimming (and you were shown how you were wrong)... retry, you'll be luckier
  24. meanwhile our Olympic Champion Vito Dell'Aquila is way, way far from recovering his mojo and a decent shape...he lost badly in the rd of 16 against the eventual champion from which is not a disaster in itself, rather than how he lost our girls, instead, proved once again inconsistent, to say the least after a good win against the odds in rd #1, they couldn't confirm themselves in the following match...as usual... small consolation, the future looks bright, as we won 5 medals (2 golds) at the Cadets Worlds, which is quite unusual for us
