  1. Finally Albert Popov makes it to the second run.
  2. Khoroshilov had first place and then missed a gate
  3. No fans should be a certain, no one has problem with that. We are watching all sports without fans for a year now. Other than that, they will take every precaution. It's the biggest event, which the whole World will be watching in one of the most safety obsessed places. Do you really think they would do nothing to make the event go safely and as planned. It will probably be safer there, than on the athletes everyday life in their own countries. Plus everyone has their own will, if they fear going, they won't go... Plus, you are only speculating of "top athletes withdrawn because of a virus". You don't know, if that will happen and i will take that chance a thousand times, than to cancel everything. There is no Olympics, where every top athletes has always participated either way. You know, because of qualification restrictions, because of injuries, because of bans, because of outside political shenanigans' like the Russia situation. If someone is unfortunately pulled out, because of Covid, why should it be any different, than if he had any other injury or decease.
  4. For a sporting fan on this forum, you are really pushing and hoping the OG are cancelled...
  5. Best women's SL race by far this season If anyone has doubts about night starts. If only Katy got the win, she was impeccable on that second run and deserved a first win.

  7. 32 teams is too much for a handball WC even before Covid, let alone this situation.
  8. There are many resorts that have lights on pistes for evening skiing, after all it gets dark around 5 pm in Europe in the winter. If there is a will, there is a way. Just like there are lights on almost every tennis tournament now, which 15 years ago was unheard of.
  9. They make many different changes, but the one that actually works - the night races, are still not fully developed. Everyone loves them, i don't know why they haven't made a staple out of them, throughout the season. Like have regular Tuesdays be night races, one week men, one week women. There is something special watching skiing at 9-10 o'clock in the night.
  10. You should try the players social media, as they usually post pics from their matches. Though with the closed matches at the qualifiers i don't know who would be taking those photos
  11. A particular Czech person is back in front of the camera. Though only a PG version, it is still better, than no version at all
  12. The Games will happen with or without the approval of the japanese people. They should have thought of this 10 years ago, or whenever they got the Games. If they indeed pull a cancelation stunt, Japan should be forbidden to host any major events for the next 70 years and will have to live with their failures. Oh right, they can't, because suicides will always be bigger, than any Covid there...
  13. Any news about Wengen? Our commentator was talking today, that there is a high chance of canceling the round, because of large Covid numbers in the area around it. He said also, that if that happens, they would try to have the round in another Swiss resort. So please St Moritz, Lenzerhaide, Crans-Montana, Zinal, anyone stand up, because we can't lose 2 DHs in the already scarce speed calendar..
  14. 6 people from our teams are with Covid - 4 women and 2 men.
  15. Good draws for Pironkova and Tomova, both should be making it through. As for Kostova and Shinikova it didn't matter that much, as both can hardly make an impact Also heavy rooting for a particular Mexican cutie @mrv86 Too bad she is in the toughest section of the whole draw...
  16. I have no comment on how Spain has snow storms, while i here, have to pray to have 5 good days of snow the whole winter.. F world weather patterns.
  17. Good for her, finally someone is standing up against this coaches crusade in gymnastics.
  18. Romain Dumas is finding it very had, when he is not in a prototype Bikes are the MVPs in these first stages, with everyday shifts of the leaderboard.
  19. Russia can do 8 out of 10 here, but in biathlon they are driving a Lada against the others... Can't they give a rifle to some of these people
  20. I think today seals Kamil Stoch as the greatest jumper of our time His accomplishments for me are above Schlierenzauer, Małysz, Ahonen, Morgenstern, Schmitt. Only Matti Nykänen (RIP) is left in front of him and he could very well be the GOAT, when his career ends.
