  1. Very few medal events today, but it's an important day for Bolivia. They have their best chance yet to win a gold medal in racquetball.
  2. I have a doubt: the technical regulations state that each tournament will only be competed with a minimum of five different countries. Only four nations sent teams for women's volleyball. Will it really award medals?
  3. Interesting. But I'm hopeful for more gold medals: in rhythmic gymnasts, we won 61 out of 63 possible gold medals at the South American championships from 2010 to 2017, and we are expected to win all 8 gold medals here. This must help.
  4. 21 out of 42 total medals in artistic gymnastics for Brazil, 10 of which were gold medals. I guess it was a good competition for us.
  5. My dream podium has become a reality on men's vault: Zanetti, Rostagno and Aguero. To be honest, I'd actually switch Luis Porto and Zanetti, but a gold medal is still a gold medal, so I'm okay with that. Rostagno and Aguero are two of my favorite gymnasts on vault, so I'm reeeeally happy they won a medal. Now I hope that Fuenmayor wins a medal as well, and it will be the perfect competition.
  6. I believe one of the other sports is Athletics, right? What's the third?
  7. And we also had bad moments in the all-around competition. Caio counted two falls (he would have won gold if he had fallen just once) and Flavia counted one (she would have won gold if she had not fallen). Also, Zanetti had to count one fall and failed to qualify on floor, and he would probably get a medal if he had qualified. It's always hard to predict anything and 15 gold medals seem a lot, but on paper I knew we could realistically win 20 gold medals if we were absolutely lucky every day. This is still technically possible if we win 5 gold medals tomorrow + 8 gold medals in rhythmics + 1 gold medal on trampoline, but highly unlikely, of course.
  8. Yes. What's their best chance? Boxing?
  9. So far, my prediction about 15 gold medals for Brazil in gymnastics is going strong. 6 out of 9 possible gold medals until now, and we have a good chance to win all five gold medals tomorrow, plus all eight events in rhythmic gymnastics. But I'm sure someone will "amarelar" at some point (i.e., crumble under pressure), so I'll not keep my hopes too high.
  10. What happened to gymnastics? It was supposed to begin one hour ago.
  11. Thank you for the link. So, Sri Lanka has qualified a girl in Artistic Gymnastics! I was wrong about the previous results. Nice to know such a small nation was still able to qualify!
  12. Yes! Dominici won! What an amazing battle for gold, and I'm glad it was Dominici who ended up on the top of the podium. She's the one who was not afraid to risk it all today and I'm sure Argentina must be really proud of her. I'd dare say she's the best female Argentine gymnast ever, and I hope she achieves great heights at the world championships. Now, about mocking and making fun of gymnasts... I'm 99.99% sure our gymnasts would never, ever do that. They're very professional and supportive, and they are taught to always respect other gymnasts. This unacceptable behavior must have come from Brazilian fans. And, yes, gymnastics fans in Brazil are the worst, as @vinipereira said (thanks for leaving me out of this bunch). I used to be part of many groups about artistic gymnastics on Facebook, but the behavior of other fans was so toxic I left all of them and decided to follow the sport on my own. I apologize for the behavior of other fans, and I can assure you the gymnasts, and true fans, like me, love and support Argentine gymnasts (and all other gymnasts). Time to celebrate! Congratulations to Dominici! I'm really, really happy for her! Parabéns!
  13. As I said yesterday, our women's artistic team is way below full potential. Enough for the gold medal, I'm sure, but I believe Dominici will take gold in the all-around.
  14. Panama has been left out of the ALBA Games. Shocking, I know.
  15. The women's team from Brazil in artistic gymnastics is allegedly having trouble with the altitude. It looks like they will not perform full difficulty tomorrow, which opens up a very interesting battle for gold in the all-around. Also, Flávia Saraiva will probably not perform on floor, so I believe Argentina's Dominici has a big chance to win gold, and I'll be super happy if this actually happens.
  16. Because Central America has two other Games: 1) the Central American Games and 2) the Central American and Caribbean Games. I'm all in for the inclusion of Trinidad and Tobago, though. Cycling, field hockey and athletics would be a lot more exciting.
  17. As I predicted, gold for our men's team in artistic gymnastics. The score was too low, but still enough for gold. Jossimar Calvo earned a deserved gold medal in the all-around competition. Also, I'm surprised at how valuable Julian Jato has become for Argentina. This is his first major competition as a senior gymnast, and he posted some of his team's highest scores. Funny thing is he's coached by Federico Molinari, who's also part of the team as a gymnast.
  18. Silver for Aruba. Nice. Hope they earn their first ever gold medal this year.
  19. TYC is not working for me, but there is another live streaming that works. http://www.boliviatv.bo/principal/tvenvivo72.php
  20. In artistic gymnastics, men's team final and men's all-around final are contested on the same day of qualifications. I'm okay with qualifications also serving as team final (they do this at the Pan Am Games), but why the hell did they decide not to hold the individual all-around final on a different day? Could it be something related to empty seats in the arena? Did they have trouble selling the tickets for gymnastics?
  21. I usually ignore football. The only reason I was remotely interested in the World Cup was to cheer for Egypt and Salah. The fact that he will most likely be out after this this match (whose moronic idea was this?) two weeks before the WC begins really pisses me off.
  22. I was joking and you failed to see it. I wrote snowflake the same way I would write honey, dear or something like that. I was being sarcastic. You don't have to be insecure when someone is sarcastic to you. I'm not attacking you as a person, just joking around.
