  1. Four Poles in the Top 5. There will be a party on the streets of Warsaw tonight.
  2. Fancy refutbished ski jumping hill, and yet they can't even place a camera properly.
  3. Varaklis pulled a Kramer. Gonna get DQ'd.
  4. Morris does just enough to better Ballangrud's WR of 8:21.6 from 1930.
  5. Entries for the Quilotta CCI4*-S: Jaime Bittner Martinez (Eden) Jaime Bittner Martinez (All Red) Nicolas Ibanez (Domingo) Carlos Lobos Munoz (Versalles) Carlos Vilarroel (Bipolar) Ecuador will also be present at the event, but not in the OQ rankings class. Assuming they obtain MER, the winner will get 41 points, which would be an excellent boost for Chilean qualification hopes. Later events in Quilotta wlil likely have more nations (except for Ecuador, the likes of Peru, Argentina and Uruguay might join too).
  6. Terpening goes just a touch faster than Zhukova's 1953 WR.
  7. Did they move the second run to Lake Placid? Surely this can't be Europe.
  8. Mukhin makes one miss and the TV director instantly cuts off.
  9. Yes it's a great annual Winter circuit in Florida called the "Global Dressage Festival". Increasing number of Europeans likes to go there for the Sun, and yeah, entry lists do tend to get longer later on (in particular for the 5* week in February and the Nations Cup later on). As another Florida regular, I was actually expecting (hoping) Karen Pavicic would have started her campaign this week, but apparently not (yet)...
  10. I see that the Qazaq epidemic of studying sport and tourism has continued. Even beyond Nur-sultan.
  11. Good guess. If we were in 1987. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_record_progression_5000_m_speed_skating_men
  12. I have, for equestrian only. But I am starting to doubt whether I will attend even if I get one. Accomodations are probably going to be through the roof even for the most basic of rooms, and let's just say the security in Paris doesn't exactly inspire me with confidence. France hasn't organized something this big in decades, so yeah, I am worried how will it go security-wise given all the previous incidents (including one just this week, for instance...).
  13. Seems like Israel is eyeing that Group C team qualification in dressage. https://www.eurodressage.com/2023/01/09/jordi-domingos-handsome-c-sold-2024-paris-olympic-hopeful-israel Still, Hungary remains the favorite at this stage, ahead of Lithuania/Poland.
  14. Sigualda saw a very, very rare occurrence of a sled flying off course this weekend. Luckily nobody got injured.
  15. I would never pick Totallympics for a tennis or pole vault place, and yet here we are.
  16. Uhrig goes just under Andrea Schöne 1983 WR of 7:40.97.
  17. Total meltdown for Roest who even had to give the right of way to Eitrem. Will be an easy home victory for the Norwegian then.
  18. Well, this is not gonna be a walk in the park for Roest. Just got roasted by Eitrem in the 5000 m.
