Just barely. 4* is no joke. Useful 41 points for Bittner, but pretty disappointing for the Chilean team hopes. They will struggle to qualify now even if they upset Brazil or Canada at the home Pan Ams. There is one other Chilean in Europe though, Jonathan Cisterna, whom I expect to obtain MER.

I wouldn't touch anything from ITG with a wooden pole these days.

Second run for Kolega. I'll take that. We are always godawful in Schladming. Saying that, Samuel Kolega remains the only bright spot of our men's team. Everyone else has seen better days.

Meanwhile, we have Jari Kessler entered. Crossing my fingers and toes he achieves a free skate for us, after years of wait... Also I am excited to see Reed/Ambrulevicius. Their free dance is one of my season highlights!

To be fair, there are only 23 couples in the ice dance. Free dance seems more than just feasible for Slovakia. Entries overall are pretty thin. Post-Olympic season and no RUS/BLR.

It's kind of hilarious that teams ranked 25th-32nd will stay in the tournament longer than those ranked 9th-24th.
