  1. Olympic ranking qualification simulation as of April 30th... Eventing Group A - Group B - Group C - Groups D/E - Group F - Group G - Overall - Jumping Group A - Group B - Group C - Groups D/E - Group F - Group G - Overall -
  2. Tamie Smith & Mai Baum win the Kentucky Three Day Event - #BestWeekendAllYear. Heck yes! First home champion since 2008 and really a huge win for Californian eventing community. It has been really exciting to follow Tamie's rise in eventing, which pretty much started when I also started following eventing more regularly (right around Rio 2016).
  3. An important MER for Sukdolak. Czechia will be able to field a team now to challenge Poland for the team quota.
  4. Dressage riders Elena Starr (RUS) and Olga Safronova (BLR) have switched to and , respectively.
  5. Nur-Sultan is Astana again. As proven by the logo too.
  6. Great, we will be getting the World Boxing World Boxing Championships thread then soon.
  7. They've passed on the women's event each time. And the men's team is just too competitive to reject an Olympic spot, wherever it may come from.
  8. Kenya has had more than their fair share of free quotas. Hopefully SA will stay out this time... As for the women's event, Madagascar can most certainly defeat Kenya to grab the reallocated quota from SA.
  9. Wow, Team Alpecin must have consulted Cavendish for their dirty move on Degenkolb.
  10. Slightly disappointed they didn't go for the 2x35 km option, just to have 70 km walking event at the Olympics instead of 50 km which was deemed too long. Heck, I would have preferred to have a nonsense mixed individual 35 km race with team medals only as opposed to this.
  11. Way too late for any of that. Zarco got exactly what he wanted, the Olympic experience.
  12. Final I results... https://www.longinestiming.com/equestrian/2023/fei-world-cup-finals-omaha-omaha-ne/resultlist_101.html And the overall standings... https://results.hippodata.de/2023/2295/docs/omaha_2023_-_standings_after_wcf_1.pdf Final II is scheduled for today.
  13. Grand Prix results... https://www.longinestiming.com/equestrian/2023/fei-world-cup-finals-omaha-omaha-ne/resultlist_200.html
  14. Grand Prix is in progress. Zweistra scored 73% and is in fact the only one above 70%. Still, some fairly clean and fun to watch tests were delivered by the surprise WC finalists (Due Boje, Verwimp, Chew).
  15. While the competition is on the upwards trajectory, Hungary still stands a good chance. Benedek Pachl and Jazmin Yom Tov are strong team leaders, and there is still enough time left for someone between Aniko Losonczy, Anita Schmidt, Nikolett Szalai or Csaba Szokola to step up.
  16. Susanne Krohn has declared for Poland. refugee Olga Safronova did too. Looks like Poland is turning every stone in an attempt to claim the Group C team quota in dressage. It's set to be quite a battle between as it stands!
  17. Olympic ranking qualification simulation for jumping as of March 31st... Dressage Group A - Group B - Group C - Groups D/E - Group F - Group G - Overall - Finland is already lagging behind in the Group A. They will get a free quota if either NOR or DEN qualify a team which is possible this time. So far so good for Luxembourg. Curiously, the Swiss powerhouse is out of it at the moment. But still it's very early and they will qualify a team anyways.
  18. Portugal hasn't qualified anyone for the men's 50 m free since 2004 and now they get full quota just like that.
  19. Olympic ranking qualification simulation for eventing as of March 31st... Dressage Group A - Group B - Group C - Groups D/E - Group F - N/A Group G - Overall - Reallocation (provisional) -
  20. Olympic ranking qualification simulation for dressage as of March 31st... Dressage Group A - Group B - Group C - Groups D/E - Group F - Group G - Overall -
  21. @JoshMartini007 Welcome to the British eventing season. A lot withdrew after dressage in Thoresby, but probably this is not going to be the case in the equally huge Burnham Market later on this month.
  22. May seem insignificant, but Guillermo De Campo obtaining MER at his first 4* start is hugely impressive. @mrv86 Mexican top level eventing has been all about Daniela Moguel & Cecelia before this happened.
  23. World Cup Finals will be held in Omaha, Nebraska next week. 24. World Cup Finals will be held in Omaha, Nebraska next week. Definite entries: Western European League Isabell Werth (Quantaz) Ingrid Klimke (Franziskus) Dinja van Liere (Hermes) Nanna Skodborg Merrald (Blue Hors Zepter) Thamar Zweistra (Hexagon's Ich Weiss) Morgan Barbancon (Bolero) Marieke van der Putten (Torveslettens Titanium RS2) Central European League Justina Vanagaite (Nabab) Alisa Glinka (Aachen) Pacific League -spot reallocated- North American League Steffen Peters (Suppenkasper) Alice Tarjan (Serenade) Anna Buffini (Davinia la Douce) Non-league Caroline Chew (Tribiani) Defending Champion Jessica von Bredow-Werndl (Dalera) Extra starting places Simone Pearce (Fiderdance) Johanna Due Boje (Mazy Klovenhoj) Jorinde Verwimp (Charmer) Cool story regarding Johanna Due Boje. She contested some World Cups but never imagined she would receive a reallocation for the Finals. It was on short notice and her fiance eventually drove the horse's bloodwork to the lab in Germany (8-9 hours drive one way) so she could get all the paperwork for a flight to the USA in time. https://www.eurodressage.com/2023/03/16/2023-world-cup-finals-participants-known-entry-list-sprinkled-surprise First ever WC Finals qualification for Lithuania and Singapore.
  25. But then again, building an ice complex (or snow complex too if you asked Saudi) would probably do wonders for the Winter sport in the Italian south.
