Quick question regarding Budapest. Are the entry lists that are up on Road To Budapest for the marathon and 35k race walk the final ones or can athletes/countries who have originally rejected the quota still accept it?

I believe Fierro is from Tahiti, so we could technically have 2 host nation medalists at Paris.

If Eurosport own all of the rights like they do the Olympics then I wouldn't be surprised if they do it in the style of the Olympics where they have 1 continuous programme on BBC 1 or 2 where they only show 1 event at a time rather than multiple streams of different events.

A mixed day for . Valiant efforts from Dillon and Laydon-Dark but extremely poor judgment from Farmer in her heat to bow out after such a high score early on. Only 3 remain: Norman, Barton and Campbell. Norman has the best chance of the 3, but will need to reach repechage 9 to stand any chance of getting the quota. Barton and Campbell will most likely have to reach repechage 10 or 11 to claim the quota.

At this point the team event is way more important than the individual. We've got 2-3 athletes who would be in a qualifying position if there wasn't this stupid exceeding quota rule.

Atrocious start for the British team in all events, need a big EU games (which I believe is still ranked) on all fronts if we're to stand a chance.

Not a bad showing from today, they put up a fight. Having 3 in repechage 4 gives us an outside chance, but any of the 6 remaining will have to get to repechage 9 or 10 to stand any chance of getting the European quota.

I believe we will but it'll be a weakened team. I think they only released entries on direct qualifying/qualification ranking events.

Dissapointing from Luke Dillon to go to the repechage so early, but kudos to Stanley Norman for sending Ribeiro there.

Tbf though the guy was Ukrainian, so you can't blame him for wanting an influential sports personality from one the countries that's attacking his to come out and definitely saying she doesn't support what's going on or her leader's actions.

It's a mixed event + we probably didn't meet the requirements needed in all the weight categories. Overall it's a strong team, shame about the 3x3 though considering the money that's been pumped into it and B-Girl Shortbread not getting the nod in Women's Breakdancing. Maybe Team GB weren't permitted to announce these, but I'm pretty sure we earned quotas in Kickboxing and MuayThai along with the Universality quota we miraculously accepted in Karate.

Europe is always quite hard as bar the 1 or 2 outstanding and , who tend to normally qualify, there's no real obvious standout name. That applies to both genders too.

As if there wasn't enough controversy regarding the participation of Russian, this'll get people riled up and add more fuel to the fire (it will be taken out of proportion). At the end of the day if Gurtsiev didn't wanna fight then it should've been handed to the Jordan fella.

I did see this and read it as if you qualify 2 athletes in the same weight category you can't enter the qualifier for that weight category, but I believe you've read it right. Williams is still in a very favourable position in the rankings to get in there, so the only person it really affect is Maddison Moore.

Brilliant from McGowan, she's one to watch for the future. Disappointing from Williams and Nour, who should've gone 1 or 2 rounds further. Didn't see Lauren's L16 match, but Nour should've won his L32 match and only lost it in the last 10 seconds of the 2nd round. Regardless of this, Williams still looks primed for the EU quota along with the Spaniard and Nour is still a strong contender for the 2 in his category.

Who would everyone say is the favourite for each quota, particularly the European ones? Not too sure on the Men's (hoping it's Luke Dillon) but on the Women's it surely has to be Noa Leilor.

Shouldn't countries that already have an athlete in a provisional spot or an athlete that are ahead of others from the same country in the top 50 be highlighted as can't qualify because of exceeded quota?

Can someone explain this to me. Why are countries like in green on the street rankings when they haven't qualified anyone.

Ah, that's a shame. Surprised you don't do the Marathon Swimming along with the pool events as half the swimmers that do the marathon also do the long distance pool events, maybe that's summat you could do this year.

Ah, for some reason it weren't showing on the general Viaplay schedule. Wish that was the case for the Widnes vs Swinton game too.

Not on Viaplay in though, our one is a pile of shite. Only showing 2 games of the Summer Bash, which means I have to pay £4.95 to watch my team play on a stream that doesn't even work most of the time instead of on a channel I pay £15 a month for where all 7 Bash games should be on.

Shouldn't the Water Polo just be classed with the rest of the World Aquatics Championships?
