  1. From what I've heard, the decision will be made at the next IOC session in Mumbai.
  2. https://www.insidethegames.biz/articles/1136466/ukraine-face-expulsion-weightlifting. The Bach-Putin pact has already taken into affect.
  3. Zurich Marathon April 23, 2023 Men's: No qualifiers Women's: Helen Bekele Veronica Maina
  4. Venice City Marathon April 23, 2023 Men's: Samwel Nyami Milau, Bethwel Yegon, Titus Kimutai Kipkosgei Women's: Magdalyne Masai, Agnes Keino, Rebbeca Tanui Gadise Mulu
  5. TSC London Marathon April 23, 2023 Men's: Kelvin Kiptum, Geoffrey Kamworor Tamirat Tola, Leul Gebresilase, Seifu Tura Emile Cairess Women's Sifan Hassan Alemu Megertu, Yalemzerf Yehualaw, Almaz Ayana, Tadu Teshome Peres Chepchirchir, Sheila Kiprotich, Judith Korir Sofiia Yaremchuk Susanna Sullivan Samantha Harrison
  6. The additional Kenyans and Ethiopians: Men's Bernard Koech, Joshua Belet, Martin Kosgei, Ehonzas Kilimo Women's Dorcas Tuitoek, Marion Kibor Tiruye Mesfin, Tsige Haileslase, Zenebu Bhionzg (Kumeshi Sichala missed out by 3 seconds) For future reference, if you're unsure if a Kenyan or Ethiopian athlete has qualified just put them in anyway - it's not like you'd be spreading misinformation if you did.
  7. Zurich Rock 'N' Roll Running Series Madrid Maraton April 23, 2023 Men's: No qualifiers Women's Doreen Chelangat
  8. It seems to me like that 1.3 mill has gone entirely to the women's main team, the other 3 have just been completed snubbed and disregarded. Obviously they have the best chance of qualifying (a decent shot at that) but to take the opportunity away from at least one other team to prioritise them is completely uncalled for. This is yet another example of our ego getting the better of by not allowing our team to potentially fail at qualifying and get experience from it just so that we can look better in front of the public
  9. I never compared her to Summer McIntosh, I said she's our version of her because she has a similar story and is following a similar path to her. And yes, I do think she has the potential of winning medals at world championship and Olympics to come in 800 and 1500.
  10. You know it's times like this that remind me how much of a joke we can be at times. Our Basketball team isn't even that bad, we would've had an outside chance at qualification.
  11. Thank god, was hoping the European place was still available - think we have a really good chance of claiming it in both events.
  12. Is that based off the world tour and do they take up continental places?
  13. That does sound like summat they'll do, although with the 2024 worlds being where it is I wouldn't be surprised if they merged some of the Paris and Doha selection processes together. GB also tend to have other meets count towards Olympic qualification, they tend to be international ones but it'd be nice to see them use the British Summer Champs with all the top athletes in each event competing (even an Autumn or Winter Champs would be useful and welcomed given the circumstances).
  14. It's a tough one to call with the 2024 worlds being in such an awkward place. I'd like to think we'd be counting times from 2023 British Summer Champs onwards.
  15. You've reported most of them, but you've missed off a few (some of these may have already qualified). Men: Gabriel Gerald Geay Zouhair Talbi Women: Hellen Obiri, Angela Tanui Amane Beriso Shankule, Gotytom Gebreselase Lonah Chemtai Salpeter Aliphine Chepkerker Tuliamuk
  16. Enschede Marathon April 16, 2023 Men's: No qualifiers Women's: Shyline Jepkorir, Cynthia Kosgei Mercyline Chelangat
  17. Not all of them are fighting in the army, quite a lot are still actively competing in sports. Also my post weren't just aimed at men, women can help out with the war effort in many ways too.
  18. Regardless of whether it hinders their sporting prospects, Ukrainians who compete alongside Russians (moreso for male athletes) would most likely be seen as traitors for gallivanting around the world and not defending their country on the battlefield to ensure it has a bright future. I understand their reason for doing this, and they're probably the only country that has a valid reason not to send athletes to compete against Russians and Belarussians.
  19. NN Marathon Rotterdam April 16, 2023 Men's: Abdi Bashir, Koen Naert Timothy Kiplagat (Kenneth Kiprop Kipkemoi missed out by 5 seconds, Cyrus Muati missed out by 8 seconds) Abdi Nageeye Dawit Wolde, Chala Regasa, Asmare Bazezew (Abebe Negewo missed out by 2 seconds) Women's: Eunice Chebichii Chumba, Rose Chelimo Tesfu Teklegergish Dolshi Fatima Azzahraa Ouhaddou Nafie Aleksandra Lisowska
  20. B-boy no actually I think I'm gonna b-girl instead.
  21. C&D Xiamen Marathon April 2, 2023 Men's: Philimon Kiptoo Kipchumba, Victor Kipchirchir Tesfaye Lencho Anbesa, Fikru Feyisa Omar Ait Chitachen Women's: Mereset Abebayahau, Gutemi Shone Imana, Meseret Tolwak, Yenenesh Tilahun Dinkesa Gladys Chesir
  22. Shijiazhuang Marathon April 2, 2023 Men's: No qualifiers Women's: No qualifiers
  23. Most of the matches you see aren't choreographed. All of the wrestlers you see often improvise their matches and liaison with the other wrestler in the middle of the match to tell them what move to do next. There are obviously some spots that are pre determined beforehand, but a lot of it is improv (unless you're Logan Paul, who I don't count as a wrestler, who has all his matches pre choreographed months in advance).
  24. Many true sports entertainment wrestling fans like myself watch wrestling for the storylines that are created and, particularly with the European wrestlers, to watch big beefy men beat the shit out of each other. As for Gable, he hasn't wrestled a match since he signed and has hardly been featured. WWE clearly don't think he's ready, and think sending him down to their developmental brand (NXT) will waste his marketability potential and ruin how he comes across to fans. Maybe that's why he's been allowed to go back to traditional wrestling, to hone in his skills more and improve on a more relevant stage.
  25. Malaysia and Sri Lanka both have decent teams. Would not be surprised if either of them qualified ahead of them.
