  1. Did Seonaid represent us in Tokyo or am I thinking of someone else?
  2. Set your diaries for 19th March, it's gonna be a big one in terms of Marathon qualification. A whopping 8 grade B and above events are taking place, including 2 above gold label. Wuxi Marathon (A) Changan Automo Chongqing Marathon (A) Seoul Marathon (GW) New Taipei City Wan Jin Shi Marathon (A) Zurich Marato Barcelona (A) Pan American Marathon Championships (B) South American Marathon Championships (GL) Run The Rome Marathon (B) Expect to see qualifiers reach the 50 mark over the 8 events.
  3. Zurich Maraton De Sevilla February 19, 2023 Men's: Gadise Shumi, Kebede Tulu, Mekuant Aneyew, Mulugeta Asefa Uma, Yitayal Atnafu Zerihun, Tesfahun Akalnew Gashau Ayale, Girmaw Amare, Haimro Alame Bethwel Kibet, Enock Onchari, Douglas Chebii, Wilfred Kimitei, Cornelius Kibet Nicolas Navarro Christian Pacheco Hector Garibay Flores ( Berhane Tesfay missed out by 6 seconds) Women's: Jackline Chelal Ayana Mulisa, Urge Diro, Muluhabt Tsega Citlali Cristian Moscote Deborah Schoneborn Hanne Verbruggen Meritxell Soler
  4. Would it be right to expect tickets in all categories to be stocked back up for futures draws + stages? I believe Birmingham did something similar for Commonwealth Games, where they release additional tickets after so many days.
  5. Great Britain After having my heart set on a song, only to find out last minute that the band are actually Irish, I have decided to go for the next best option on my list: The Lathums - Say My Name
  6. Quick question regarding the entry standard. Like last Olympic cycle, will Heptathlon and Pentathlon events count towards Decathlon and Heptathlon qualification?
  7. Poor Suraj Panwar missed out by 1 second. Here's the full rundown: Indian National Race Walking Championships February 14, 2023 Men's: Akashdeep Singh Women's: Priyanka Goswani
  8. It's a brilliant and fitting opening track to Riot. I think we can see another 3-4 albums from them, where old age could catch up to them. The group seems its strongest right now, with Hayley and Taylor now in a relationship and Zac being committed to the band. They'll probably create their own record company and distribute through that, they seem to have the resources to do so. This Is Why is looking good to reach number 1 in the UK album charts, so there's clearly still a lot of fanfare around them which should push them to continue creating music.
  9. My top 10 (in no particular order): You First Last Hope Here We Go Again (prefer live but original still in top 10) Woah Brick By Boring Brick Part II Native Tounge Misery Business (my favourite) For A Pessimist I'm Pretty Optimistic Let The Flames Begin (live version only) If live versions weren't counted, then it'd be a toss up between Fences, Ain't It Fun, Where The Lines Overlap, Future, Ignorance, The News, Decode and Looking Up. There so many good Paramore songs, particularly the older ones, that it's too hard to chose a top 20, nevermind top 10 or 5. The list I just comprised there was very much on the fly, I probably missed out a ton more songs that I like even more than the ones listed. I don't mind the odd couple slow or toned down songs, but I'd just like to see a lot more heavy/heavier rock from them. We've seen glimpses of them starting to go back that way in this album, but they haven't fully committed. Maybe once they get away from Atlantic Records (I believe this is the last album they're contractually obligated to do with them after Atlantic purchased Fuled By Ramen) they can start going back to their old ways.
  10. I agree, although You First is an absolute banger and is in my top 5 of all time. The News, Figure 8 and to an extent Big Man, Little Dignity are also good. But compared to their other albums like Riot and Brand New Eyes, where almost every song was top quality, this one falls quite short. Still better than After Laughter though, which is an improvement.
  11. Always baffles and disappoints me that America never pick a Paramore song in any of these contests.
  12. Still deciding my song, will have it with yous soon.
  13. There's potential to see some of the top tennis players if you pick a court 1-4 session.
  14. If I'm able, but only the events where people have qualified (unlike here where I've reported on every B+ grade event).
  15. Our first race walking qualifiers of this Olympic cycle.
  16. Australian Open 20km Race Walking Championships February 12, 2023 Men's: Perseus Karlström ( Declan Tingay missed out by 10 seconds) Women's: Jermima Montag Antigoni Ntrismpioti
  17. Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon February 12, 2023 Men's: No qualifiers Women's: No qualifiers
  18. Dubai Marathon February 12, 2023 Men's: Abdisa Tola, Deresa Geleta, Haymanot Alew, Gebretsadik Abraha, Abraraw Misganaw, Kemal Husen (got in by 1 second) Women's: Dera Dida, Ruti Aga, Siranesh Yirga, Fikrte Wereta, Tigist Getnet, Meseret Tolwak, Bedatu Hirpa, Bekelech Gudeta, Amente Sorome Negash
  19. Ah right, just going off what it said on the WA website.
  20. Riyadh Marathon February 11, 2023 Men's: No qualifiers Women's: Gadise Mulu, Aberash Fayesa, Meseret Abebayahau
  21. I only really put Bolivia in as I had to take Samoa out who I hadn't realised had won a medal and wanted the list to contain 10. Only now do I realise that Monica Doria of would've been a better and more realistic option.
  22. GB have a qualifier tonight against Estonia, it's being streamed on BBC. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/basketball/64103744.
  23. I'll keep track here of any athletes from medalless countries that crop up and have a decent chance of medalling over the course of the qualification period.
  24. Are there any other countries or athletes yet to be stated that are worth mentioning?
  25. Completely forgot about Pudar, probably their best Olympic talent ever - and young too.
