  5. I only really put Bolivia in as I had to take Samoa out who I hadn't realised had won a medal and wanted the list to contain 10. Only now do I realise that Monica Doria of would've been a better and more realistic option.
  6. GB have a qualifier tonight against Estonia, it's being streamed on BBC. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/basketball/64103744.
  7. I'll keep track here of any athletes from medalless countries that crop up and have a decent chance of medalling over the course of the qualification period.
  8. I wanted to make it to 10, so around half of them are extremely unrealistic. I'd say only 4 of them have a good chance: (Julien Alfred has been performing really well of late), (Thea Lafond can pull it out the bag on her day), (Emmanuel Matadi is another who can be a serious challenger on his day), (probably the most likely of them all, it'd be a disappointment is Kyron McMaster didn't claim an Olympic medal in his career). After that, you could only really lay claim to and Refugee Olympic Team with how random Taekwondo is.
  9. Yeah I've not seen much of him, it was very much a long shot. Similar would apply to Arevalo of , who is a far better doubles player than singles.
  10. Vaguely recall this being brought up after Tokyo, but feel it needs to become relevant again with most qualification windows getting underway. I believe the following nations/teams have a decent shot at winning their first medal: (Men's Taekwondo) (Women's 3000m Steeplechase) (Women's Long Jump) (Women's 100m) (Men's Singles Tennis) (Men's and Women's Marathon) (Men's 100m) (Women's 100m + 200m) (Men's 400m Hurdles) Refugee Olympic Team (Women's Taekwondo).

  14. Got 2 questions regarding the quali format: 1. Do winners of A grade races automatically qualify regardless of time? 2. Do 20,000m, 35,000m and 35km races all count towards 20km qualification, I couldn't understand what it said on the document.
  15. Beppu-Oita Mainichi Marathon February 5th, 2023 Men's: Ibrahim Hassan Daniel Kipchumpa Tsubasa Ichiyama, Shungo Yokota, Kento Kikutani, Shin Kimura, Tsukasa Koyama (Tatsuya Maruyama missed out by 16 seconds) Women's: No qualifiers
  16. https://www.insidethegames.biz/articles/1133209/coventry-russia-belarus-ioc. Looks like Bach's potential successor will continue to pursue the inclusion of Russian and Belarusian athletes.
  17. In terms of fan reception, Russia and Belarus competing would be met with outrage and constant booing at every session their athletes compete in. That's something the IOC definitely wouldn't want and would heavily risk if they continue to pursue this.
  18. Cheers mate, appreciate your help. I was thinking about going to 8 sessions in Paris (maybe pushing it to 9 or 10 sessions if we can get 3 sessions on the same day in the same venue, but it's highly unlikely)from 27th-31st July, with 2 of them being medal sessions. The medal sessions I'm after are the 28th July Swimming one as it's got the 100m Breastroke final as many other events with high British interest, and the 29th July Canoe Slalom one as I'm thinking of doing the morning Rowing session on the same day - it's looking like a 40 minute turnaround but it should be possible as both events are right next door to each other. I'm gonna do another swimming session in case the medal one doesn't come through, not sure which day though. I'm also gonna do a Beach Volleyball session which'll take up an entire day as we'll probably go uo the Eifel Tower and see some of the other sights of Paris after, again not sure which day yet. Other sports I'm looking at include Basketball, Handball, Boxing, Water Polo and Table Tennis. Hopefully we get drawn out of both lotteries and get all the tickets we desire, but backups will be in place incase we don't to fill up the 8 sessions.
  19. One last thing. Is it possible to get drawn out for both phase 1 and 2, and if so what's the likehood of this happening?
