I agree, but if it's a rule, it's a rule for everyone. We don't know what other teams would have done if the rule didn't exist. It's not about making an exception for one, it's about how unfair it is to the others. Can you tell I'm a teacher?

Canada decided to lose this game. Never seen so many airballs, complete misses. Pathetic effort.

Canada beats the Netherlands 22-9. Looked pretty good. Unless they lose to Australia later tonight by a lot, they will move directly to the semis. Edit: Took my original edit away. Got confused. Canada will make the playoffs unless they lose to AUS by a lot and NED win by a lot vs KEN.

I'm don't have time to look into it right now, but a few years ago I made an Olympic themed trivia, and I remember reading on the Olympic site that they considered "teams" to be groups of 3 or more individuals who play directly against another group of 3 or more individuals head-to-head. Thus, sports like canoe/kayak or even team synchro (even though it's in the name) were not considered "team sports" by the IOC. Oddly, by this definition beach volleyball would also not be considered a team sport.
