Canada was winning 3-3 (on Senshu) but received a penalty in last 3 seconds for stepping out. which annuls the Senshu. a draw was enough for the Netherlands to qualify. the match ended 3-3 draw and Netherlands qualified. (alongside KSA and Georgia) they awarded the women's medals but then right before the award ceremony they called both of those guys to the Tatami telling them to fight those last 3 seconds again because Canada apparently made a protest and they found out the Canadian Karateka wasn't out of bound. there are 2 or maybe 3 unused quotas in this weight of 81kg 1) Colombia's possible suspension 2) Asian quota 3) unused host quota in case they don't pick this weight for the wild card but i can't see how Croatia can get one of them. he is 9th among non-qualified weightlifters and Ireland, Puerto Rico, Slovakia and Denmark above him don't have quotas in other weights which make them priority to take the unused host quota. but never say never. everything is possible with IWF. but this one looks a bit unlikely.

Kazakhstan beat Jordan that means Kazakhstan and Hungary are 100% qualified. Germany most probably will join them soon. poor guy from Jordan after the first win, he was 5 seconds away from Tokyo. he will not forget this day for a very long time.

btw draw is still possible even in case of 2-2 or 3-3 or more but under special circumstances, that's rare but possible. Germany and Hungary will play the last match of Group. otherwise a 0-0 wouldn't guarantee them the quota. now they will start match knowing what happened in the previous match.

number of points is the next tie break (not the points difference) so I guess Hungary was very lucky that last punch didn't counted for Kazakhstan now it's JOR 7, HUN 6, GER 6 and KAZ 5 Hungary and Germany will qualify with a friendly 0-0 draw. Kazakhstan is the one who has to win.
