don't worry we are almost done with our gold medal chances. I'm only confident about one more , we also have some small chances here and there but I expect only one more. max 2. we had our chances to win more gold earlier in Karate and wrestling, specially in Karate. I really think we could 3-4 more golds. North Korea won 8 gold medals in weightlifting ! they took advantage of China's suspension very good. I think they would lose more than half of these gold medals to China in a normal situation.

very low level competition in discus throw. Haddadi easily won his 4th back to back AG gold medal. with one more gold in Kurash, now we have 19. we need two more to equal 21 what we had last time in Incheon.

India was really impressive in Table tennis with two medals so far TT is one of my favorite sports. this is great to see a different name in medal table beside all those East Asian countries btw you also finished 2nd in Asian Junior Championships a week ago in team event. looks like a very successful program in Table tennis.

lol Indonesia is only 6 gold medals behind South Korea with more Pencak Silat medals and more help from the refs, why not ! since 1978 this is the first time in history that somebody else is threatening the big 3 in Asia. and since 1998 we always had Korea in 2nd place and Japan in 3rd. this is apparently going to change this time

I still have a feeling they will find their way into the 5th place. don't forget Sambo. they are supposed to win all 4 gold medals. I think this is still very much possible for both Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan to surpass Iran in the medal table. I'm more surprised negatively by Thailand. they are also good in most of those weird sports Indonesia added into the program, out of 9 gold medals for Thailand. 4 of them are in new events (Poomsae, 2 in Paragliding and Jet Ski) and if you remove 3 gold medals in their sport sepaktakraw, they won only 2 gold medals in other sports ! shooting and taekwondo.

Afghanistan secured another medal in Kurash ! and actually the Afghan guy beat some tough opponents including one from Iran to make it to the semifinals. so it wasn't just a lucky medal.

I said it months ago. that Iran FF was told by AFC to pick one team and they picked the boys team just because they believe they have more chance for medal there.

what a dramatic final in men's compound. feel sorry for India , they lost it in a way they will never forget !

I just watched the race again, without commentator this time. right after winning the race he talks to camera "this is Asia, there is no place for Africans here"

looks like we can't reach the 20 gold medal mark. we have 16 and I'm almost sure about two more. but all of our favorite sports Karate, Wrestling, Wushu, Weightlifting and Taekwondo are already done. today was good, but Salimi announced retirement after winning his 3rd back to back AG title. I would like Alihosseini to win the gold since I like him more. I was hoping for medal in sport climbing speed relay. but with Indonesia and China entering two teams both of our teams are outsiders. how the hell they let them entering two teams in a team event ?!

well another "fantastic job" by refs in Karate. Poursheib got robbed big time in semifinal. of course we know the rules in AG. "when you win 2 gold medals, you can't win more" they never let Iran win more than 2 gold medals in men's karate. PS: Kuwait never did ANYTHING in international competition in Karate, but they always win gold in Asian Games. guess why

Bronze for Iran in mixed compound. this is interesting because for Iran "mixed" medals rarely happen. for obvious reasons this is only our second mixed medal in history of Asian Games. the other one was Chess. still no contact between teammates

looks like no medal for Jordan Clarkson even though he had a good game himself I think it's also better for Iran, (if we beat Japan of course) Korea is probably a better matchup . even though we have to play much better than the 1st game.

watching show jumping competition. the Thai girl Limpichati is very lucky to be still alive. that was a nasty fall. for a moment I thought something is going to happen but fortunately the horse didn't ride over her. we still remember what happened to that Korean guy in 2006. btw one of our riders had refusal in his first jump ! well I never saw such thing (of course it's not like I watch show jumping everyday but still refusal in first jump ?!)

I'm quite sure I saw at least one girl who didn't cover her hair. from Vietnam I think.

first out of possible 8 ! and Indonesia is now a powerhouse in Asian sports. Japan and Korea must be watch out

the officiating is really funny in Karate, I was watching Iran-Kazkhastan in women's 68kg. the Iranian girl did absolutely nothing and the fight ended 0-0 and went to Hantei. and surprisingly still two of 5 refs gave it to Iran !! she should lose it 5-0 without doubt but it was 3-2 !

and looks like I was wrong about the volleyball draw. I said that based on the pre tournament schedule ! but the website shows KOR vs INA and JPN vs QAT ! and we don't know which one will play Iran in the semifinal !? even our coach doesn't know ! Kolakovic said we will know that when they give us the program ! as simple as that and TPE is luckily in the semifinal.

Taftian even though even his PB wasn't good enough for a medal. and today is the first day without a gold medal for Iran. while we could have two. Mehdizadeh in Karate and the 3x3 basketball team. we ended up with 3 silver and 3 bronze.

I can't believe we could win the gold in 3x3 basketball I never counted on them but after watching their games. I think they missed a golden chance in semifinal against China. they had the lead with 1 minute to go and instead of going for easy layups, they went for long range shots and missed it. still good to win a bronze. didn't expect that.

what a day for Kuwait ! two gold medals ! btw Ruslan Nurudinov looks in great shape. Hashemi at best can win a silver. looks like a "silver day" for us so far.

Rozita Alipour made it into the final. today 3 out of 3 in the final in Karate. I just hope it doesn't end up 3 silvers ! even though I know Alipour won't be favorite in the final.

I know it's not part of the Olympic ranking. but the "Continental representation" part considered PanAm Games and European Games as the qualification but didn't say anything about Asia !?
