  1. well. one camera, with no view on the scoreboard. no TV graphics. I think it's fair to say this is almost nothing. btw I just hope they don't take wrestling as an example but IJF is just perfect in this case.
  2. is that possible to switch Tatami ? my first time with Karate TV and I can't see much we had someone in Kata in QF (even though he had a good draw) and he lost only 3-2 to Smorguner we never had a chance for medal in Kata, but losing 3-2 means he had a chance to be in semifinal.
  3. The draw looks good for the Iranians. even though in Karate there is no "easy match" everybody can be dangerous. 2016 was great for Iran in kummitee , this will be great if they can repeat that here. and I see an Iranian Amir Khani participating here as "refugee" another fake refugee living in Belgium. after Asemani and Pouryounes (in Netherlands) both in taekwondo
  4. that last 137kg attempt by Wamalun of Thailand was completely useless. (not even in term of CJ medals) and didn't change anything for her. 1kg more could give her the silver medal in total instead of bronze. and that was too easy for her. she definitely could lift 1kg more. 3 gold and 3 WRs for China. except 45kg where all Standard Records remained (poor level) all other Standard Records had been broken so far for women's events.
  5. well Armenia is not alone in starting the competition with 1kg above the WR and failing miserably 3 times. North Korea just joined them with Kim Hyo-Sim
  6. yeah comparing to Rejepov's 2nd attempt . he got the signal even before lifting it but I think that was OK, M. Ihab could just waited a moment longer
  7. I think they heard me when I said "I was expecting more from China" since then they started to completely dominating the competition. and yeah I think Li Dayin could try for the gold in total. he probably wanted to try for CJ gold medal great job for Mohamed Ihab too. only if he could wait a second more for that down signal. and 4th place for Rejepov ! those 3 medalists better watch out for whatever they are drinking/eating before the doping test
  8. well I don't think that was a "good lift" for Rejepov ! but who I am !? when IWF wants to give medal to someone
  9. how come you are supervising them and watching this at the same time ? nobody cheats during exams in Netherlands ?
  10. interesting . only 6kg separates the opening CJ attempt of top 9 weightlifters .
  11. Karapetyan withdrew from CJ pity I would like to laugh more after 3 more failed attempts of him.
  12. Very interesting so far. great back to back WRs by Lyu and Ihab. and now there is really a medal chance for Turkmenistan. Rejepov looked actually very good in snatch,
  13. this is funny, it didn't look he really can lift that ! that was too heavy for him. I wonder he even tried that before in training
  14. why Armenians never learn ?
  15. with Ihab, Chinese and Armenian guy. it will be really hard but yeah still alive and he could life more , missed on attempt for a dumb mistake
  16. Rejepov so it was crowd's fault ?!
  17. I wonder if they really awarded that medal to Zielinski or not. (I know he is listed as 3rd, but that doesn't mean he received that medal) if I'm not wrong I think IOC had a policy of not re-allocation medal to athletes with doping history.
  18. it looked like Shi Zhiyong could life much more than that. all attempts looked very easy for him ! interesting silver medal for Won JS from Group B, huge improvement after bombing out at the Asian Games. 19th place for Soltani I know he is just 18 but still that was terrible for someone in Group A.
  19. only a North Korean can injures himself after throwing the weight
  20. just watched this 205kg in snatch for someone with 96kg bodyweight ! this is 9kg more than Standard record for 109kg ! even though he is not going to try that in the competition. because of Tian Tao he will probably only try to make a good gap for the CJ where Tian Tao sometimes does impossible works. still 185kg WR should be too easy for him.
  21. I'm 100% sure this is no problem for China to qualify the maximum possible quota. they should not even care about that. but I thought after being absent for a year. the Chinese team is more prepared to dominate the competition . making a statement or something like that. only one gold after 6 events isn't great for China.
  22. Only new WR in total so far we have new WR only in 4 out of 9 possible chances in men's events. I really don't like this "World Standards" to remain for long. I was expecting more from China. but at least they got their first gold.
  23. This is unbelievable ! https://www.iwf.net/2018/11/03/iwf-statement-womens-45kg-bodyweight-category/ first. the Turkmen girl deserved this medal (even though her lift was dubious and even one judge gave her a red light) BUT when they rejected her and awarded the medal yesterday this is unbelievable to change it a day later ! they also let Turkmenistan has 4 "extra" weightlifters in the competition. they are listed in start list as "extra" something MQS in shooting but the thing is , we never had such thing. . there is no such thing in the rules. nothing never changes in IWF as long as Tamas Ajan is the president. it's more normal to have corruption in sports like wrestling or boxing because of the nature of officiating in these sports. but in weightlifting ?! they bend the rules whenever they want. I know for a fact that they did sometimes in favor and sometimes against Iran. depends on Ajan's relationship with the Iranian officials at the time.
  24. he wanted a better CJ medal. he probably knew he has no chance for 174kg. even though I would try 174 but sometimes these snatch / CJ medals come to the play. what a day for Eko Yuli Irawan. he was great. 3 gold medals. 2 WRs. and he was capable for lifting more. interesting that still no gold medal for China, I thought they are going to destroy the competition after being banned for a year. at least not yet.
  25. World Record and most probably first ever gold medal of Indonesia for Irawan what a year for him
