  1. I had not seen anything about this until now, but I see there is no Award Plaza at these Games. All medals will be presented at the venue, immediately following the event.
  2. His mother did it in 1972. I watched her gold medal run live, still one of the great Olympic moments I’ve seen. I’d go wild if RCS wins gold this time. After his silver medal 4 years ago, NBC interviewed his mother from her home. This time, I’d hope she’d be there in person.
  3. The words of Dr. Bill Mallon - Orthopedic Surgeon, Olympic Statistorian, founder of www.olympedia.org and former PGA golfer. There are 10 parts to this post.
  4. Rhythmn Dance is obvious, I think. The key to the whole team event for me is how many placements can C&B gap the Japanese.
  5. She said she intends to do all, will see after DH.
  6. It was removed the next day.
  7. Back in the 1970s, in the USA, it was called “Modern Rhythmic Gymnastics” Coming back to edit this, since the sport was miniscule in the USA at that time, it’s probably how the FIG referred to it as well.
  8. Although she did win bronze, I would add 1972 OG - Janet Lynn 4th in figures, 1st in FS. Trixi Schuba, 1st in figures, 7th in FS. And another one to add - 1984 Brian Orser 7-1-1. Scott Hamilton 1-2-2.
  9. US has won exactly 9 golds at 5 successive Winter Games (06-22) so I expect 9 golds this Games as well.
  10. Ota Zaremba Age 68, 1980 gold medalist in Weightlifting, Heavyweight I. https://www.sfgate.com/sports/article/ota-zaremba-1980-olympic-weightlifting-champion-21312795.php
  11. Yuna Aoki was fantastic and defeats both Chiba and Nakai at 4 Continents.
  12. I'm hoping they can like each other enough to at least ski the Team Combined together because as a pair they would be the gold medal favorites. Wiles and Moltzan can be the second USA team.
  13. Well, she is engaged and says she is getting married. Maybe she will also retire if she can exorcise her Olympic demons.
  14. Today she says she is all right. Chloe Kim says she’s ‘good to go’ for Milan Cortina Olympics after being diagnosed with torn labrum | NBC Olympics
  15. Two passings to mention. Uljana Semjonova age 73. Twice a gold medalist in basketball for in 1976 and 1980. Her height was listed between 2.10 to 2.13 m. She is the tallest woman ever to win an Olympic gold medal. Jim Hartung age 65. He was a member of the US gymnastics team that won the gold medal in 1984.
  16. Vonn-Shiffrin paired in the team combined would seem like a no-brainer.
  17. Bobby Rousseau Age 85, 1960 silver medal in Ice Hockey and later a 4- time Stanley Cup champion with the Montreal Canadiens.
  18. Here is more: https://www.thesportsexaminer.com/gymnastics-fig-shrugs-will-do-nothing-to-challenge-indonesias-ban-of-israel-from-world-championships/
  19. I hope FIG will show some resolve here.
  20. Scott is currently U.S. Senator, was Governor until 2019. Sorry, I didn't see your subsequent post.
  21. Or do as I do, have two screens on Peacock next to each other and watch a complete feed of a field event.
  22. First exchange was pretty bad Coleman to Harris.
