  1. OK. This is a bad sign. The sports and events I want to include would be the ones I would know would be good at. But to be honest I do really like tumbling, tug of war and canoe polo. Tumbling I find spectacular, tug of war everybody in Britain competes at school sports day and one of my neighbours competed in canoe polo. This sounds horribly biased
  2. Well, maybe not some of the Russians...
  3. @heywoodu We know some of walkers and know they're some of the best people in the whole of sport
  4. Actually I'm trying to work out if would be eligible to qualify for a Pan American place because Sint Maarten is a member of the West Indies Cricket Board
  5. To complicate things even more some West Indies players who would only be eligible for in Olympic competition. My suggestion that would be split in so many ways that you could ignore them completely
  6. Flag football is almost impossible to predict. There are nations who have never competed at all who could qualify for LA. For instance, look at the amount of talent from the NFL and college football could choose from
  7. By the way, what's your pick for the Korfball?
  8. Would probably only need 16 extra places for men's and women's medal events.
  9. Men's cricket is an exception because it relies completely on world rankings
  10. I've been told this is the current plan by a friend who is a cricket journalist. These have not been confirmed as official yet. The women's US team are not rated as being good enough for a host quota and there is also a big problem with the men's team as the US Cricket federation are on the verge of being suspended from the ICC for breaking their rules.
  11. So this is the latest qualifying plan from the ICC Men Host nation Top nation from each region. Currently that would be Final place decided by an 8 team play off involving (on the current rankings) and the winner of a play off between 10 IOC members from the West Indies. Women Top 6 teams in the 2026 T20 World Cup On current rankings that would be and possibly the winner of a West Indies play off
  12. A rare occasion where the individual swimmers in the final were one each from and
  13. Just talked to a cricket journalist. He suggests the EWCB are quoting an outdated version of the qualifying plans
  14. At the last ICC meeting the USA only narrowly avoided suspension for poor governance. The matter was thrown forward to the next meeting
  15. That goes against what the ICC suggested a few weeks ago where they said that the continental qualifiers would be the highest ranked teams from each continent in the T20 world rankings
  16. Onley Fans are just one spelling mistake away from a major surprise in terms of finding "interesting" photos...
  17. I'll bet he'll try go a lot lower.
  18. 1 It should go to Germany 2 It won't go to Germany because awarding it to Germany on the centenery of the Berlin Olympics would be seen as a victory for the extreme right wing of politics. 3 India wants it to be seen as a victory for it within world sport 4 So does Qatar 5 Qatar has seen that its world cup was considered a success despite the problems concerning migrant workers 6 I want it to be London again but that is not realistic 7 After that I want it to be a German city but I don't think that is also realistic 8 An Indian city would be fine as long as it's better run that the Delhi Commonwealth Games 9 It will probably go to Qatar
  19. Joey Jones, football, European Cup Winner with Liverpool 1977, 72 matches for Wales, has died after a long illness aged 70
  20. Yes. If India were #2 in Asia behind Pakistan there's no way the top Asian team in the world rankings would qualify automatically
  21. If the qualification rules are correct England/GB have the easiest route to LA. They basically just need to finish above Ireland in the T20 world rankings.
  22. At the moment the men's tournament will be India, Australia, England/Great Britain, South Africa, USA and possibly New Zealand. Although USA might yet be banned from the Olympics.
  23. Jersey were playing this tournament without their best player who was refused to be released by his English professional team
  24. Jersey beat Scotland by 1 wicket off the last ball of the 20 overs. So nearly a tie.
