  1. Cool, you're back, great to see you here again
  2. Well I am guessing most Serbian fans would rather him to win gold at the Olympics this year than Wimbledon if they had to choose, would you agree? Winning both would be ideal of course but being positive
  3. That's wonderful news, will be awesome to have a multi-member jury from Chile
  4. Do you want me to put you down for half and half for question 2 like I did for heywoodu in question 1 when he couldn't decide between two alternatives? (I know that neutralises your vote but at least you are exercising your vote and giving your opinion)
  5. That's how the process works currently under A.... the winner is given first choice and if they can't host it then we allow others to bid. Under option B the previous winner won't be given the first choice to host.
  6. Not even a shark attack that extended into space?
  7. Ok, we will have a vote about that too then. I will add it to the questionnaire
  8. Sharknado 3 with David Hasselhoff was particularly memorable
  9. Ok, so a few weeks have passed since the TISC Annual Contest 2016 and with still a couple of months to go until the next TISC Open 2016 now is the ideal time to open up a discussion about the next contest. As most users will recall, there was a change in the criteria made for the TISC Open 2015 which meant that songs released in the previous 5 years were excluded from the selection process. In the TISC Open 2013 and 2014 there was no restriction in terms of release dates. I would like to gauge the opinion of users in terms of how successful this rule change was. So I will conduct a questionnaire to get an idea so we can again go forward with consensus. Question 1: What was your impression of the rule change introduced TISC Open Contests in 2015? (a) I liked it and would like all TISC Open Contests in the foreseeable future to continue with that rule (b) I am still unsure of the merits but would like to give this rule another year at least (c) I would prefer to re-examine that rule with a view to change the time restriction for TISC Open 2016 (d) I would prefer to abolish the rule change and go back to the original format with no restriction in terms of release date All users who have participated in a previous song contest may vote. If a sizeable number of users want to re-examine or change the rule then we will discuss it in more detail. If a majority of users are happy to continue with the rule for this year or beyond then we will go again with the same format as in TISC Open 2015. Question 2: How should TISC contests be organised in terms of hosting? (a) The previous winner should always have the first option to host the contest (b) It should always be open to all bidders regardless of who won the previous contest I will allow 2 weeks for users to respond to the survey so closing date will be Friday 15th July (22:00 GMT). Thanks in advance for your feedback and feel free to express any opinions on any aspect of TISC events.
  10. Banners - Shine A Light: Banners - Ghosts Banners - Back When We Had Nothing
  11. Boxing: All 3 Olympic champions in women's boxing from London 2012 will retain their title? (Nicola Adams, Katie Taylor and Savannah Marshall) Equestrian: The individual eventing gold medalist will finish on a score under 40 penalties? Michael Jung will again win double gold in eventing (individual and team)? Golf: At least one medal winner in the men's or women's events will be ranked outside the top 100 in the world rankings? Someone aged 40+ will win a medal in golf?

  13. That's the one positive, I love that Padraig now gets his chance and he has been saying all along that he would love to play at the Olympics. He was one of those who campaigned for its inclusion too so I am really happy that he will take his place in the Irish team
  14. That's true but I guess that wouldn't matter now anyway as I can't see any of the remaining golfers getting near the medals. To think this offered such promise not so long ago
  15. So the top 3 Irish golfers withdrew..... lovely
  16. Welcome to the forum, great to see another Chilean user here to join @Pabloffo and in time for the Olympics Have fun and looking forward to discussing with you
  17. Here are a few off the top of my head, I'll try to come up with more soon.... some have already been said so apologies in advance..... General: Finland won a medal at every edition of the Olympics (Summer and Winter) in which they have participated. Will this record come to an end in Rio? i.e. will Finland fail to win a medal. Spain qualified 9 teams for various team sports. But will they win a medal in any of these events? Will the Netherlands finish with more silver medals than any other colour? Will three or more countries win their first ever Olympic medal? Japan will finish ahead of South Korea in the medal table? India will win 8 or more medals? Hong Kong, Chinese Taipei and Singapore will all win an Olympic medal? Latvia and Estonia will both win an Olympic medal? Ethiopia will finish above Kenya in the medals table? Great Britain will finish as the top nation in the medals table in each of track cycling, rowing and sailing? Azerbaijan will finish ahead of Turkey in the medals table? Denmark will finish ahead of Sweden in the medals table? Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Egypt will each win an Olympic medal? Moldova will finish ahead of Romania in the medals table for the first time? Cuba will finish ahead of Jamaica in the medals table? There will be at least one nation who will win 8 medals or more, but will finish without a gold medal? There will be at least one nation who will win 3 gold medals or more but no medal of any other colour? Brazil will win 8 golds or more? Hockey: There will be 1 goal or less scored in any match in the men's or women's hockey events? Tennis: Switzerland will win a medal in tennis? Football: Brazil will win their first men's football Olympic title? Denmark or Sweden will win a medal in Football? Triathlon: Both Brownlee brothers will be on the podium in men's triathlon? Athletics: Mo Farah will retain both his 5,000m and 10,000m Olympic titles? Will there be an all-African podium in the women's 800m? The world record will be broken in either the men's or women's triple jump events? A former Olympic champion who is not the current Olympic champion will regain their title in Rio 2016 (like Felix Sanchez who won gold in 2004 and then again in 2012). Relay events don't count. Will Usain Bolt do another golden treble (100m, 200m and 4x100m relay)? Badminton: Denmark will win a badminton medal? Modern Pentathlon: A non-European athlete will win a medal in Modern Pentathlon? Gymnastics: Romania will fail to win a medal in gymnastics? Rowing: Ekaterina Karsten will reach her 6th Olympic final in the women's single sculls (1996, 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012 and now again in 2016)?
  18. Indeed . Thankfully we don't have similar flags also or else we might have another Slovakia-Slovenia type issue
  19. And so our time has come to leave. Well done our boys in green, you went down fighting and made us very proud. Let the songs and the drinks flow for tonight and we will welcome you home with immense pride. Congratulations France, good luck in the quarter-finals. These Euros have been a pleasure for me, despite the overall perception that the quality of football isn't great. It was heart-warming see our team fight hard, rediscover grit and determination and a huge team spirit that took us to the knockout stages, creating fresh memories all the way. And to all those great fans, thank you . Now is time to celebrate one more time
