  1. No need to apologise, you don't owe anyone here a thing. And thanks for all your dedication, not to mention the hard work and time you devoted to these contests since you took over as manager. Best wishes
  2. Wow,incredible work @dcro . Very professional analysis. I really look forward to your statistics during each Grand Final and heywoodu's efforts too. It always makes an already fun event even greater.
  3. The Aussies could have some of their Aussie Rules players on the commentary team or former GAA players like Tadhg Kenneally who made the transfer from Gaelic football to Australian football.
  4. They should be paid. But to answer the question why not, the same answer applies... the GAA doesn't embrace change.
  5. I'm sure they have a team examining the possibilities as we speak
  6. The Rugby World Cup is still something for them to aim for
  7. The GAA aren't great at embracing change, let's face it. Year after year we have the same unfair Championship structure based on provincial competitions when there is now huge appetite for a more open draw system. And don't get me started on the black card
  8. Haha, and what about hurling / camogie and handball? (by the way, we call the internationally known handball "Olympic Handball" )
  9. After a lot of listening I now have my top 15. I will be sending my votes in the next day or two.
  10. I had a housemate called Andrea who was a girl but she called herself Andi (which most often is used for boys - Andy).... all very confusing
  11. In the words of Cerys Matthews: Things are getting strange, I'm starting to worry......
  12. I just realised Mulder and Scully from the X-Files had Dutch and Irish surnames What could this mean?.....The truth is out there.....
  13. Nice to see an Irish name at the top of the boys' list Liam is becoming very popular in many places now, as with Conor
  14. The top 10 names given to new born babies in Ireland last year were as follows: Boys: Jack James Daniel Conor Seán Adam Noah Michael Charlie Luke Girls: Emily Emma Ava Sophie Amelia Ella Lucy Grace Chloe Mia The most popular surnames (family names) are as follows: Murphy Kelly O'Sullivan Walsh O'Brien Byrne Ryan O'Connor O'Neill O'Reilly So presumably Jack Murphy and Emily Murphy are the two most popular names for new-borns
  15. Wow!! What a ride by Mullen, I didn't expect this!
  16. Scotland wearing their "traditional" pink I see
  17. Wow, that's impressive that you have played all but those two. This week was the first meeting between Ireland and Moldva for example. There are still 4 other European teams we haven't played. Azerbaijan, Slovenia, Ukraine and Kosovo. We have played friendlies against Greece and Belarus but never a competitive match. It's hard to believe we have never been in the same group as Greece
  18. Luxembourg, playing the entire second half with 10 men have drawn 1-1 away against Belarus. The impressive thing is, this is no longer a big surprise. Luxembourg (as with many of the so-called "minnows" of Europe) have been showing good quality in recent times. Edit 1: The referee blew the final whistle one minute too early and is now resuming play Edit 2: And for a second time, the match is over
