  1. That's only because they're planning to skip day 3
  2. I hope we can reach one one day... One SB from a runner that hasn't ran this year is the heist of the day
  3. Can't relate. What's a PB? We only reach those in 2nd rate Lithuanian competitions.
  4. It's a bit more difficult to have something mandatory for school, in sports, and during the Summer holidays.
  5. Nikodemas survived 4.70, but it won't make a difference unless he PB's with a 4.90 now somehow. Valinčius underperformed in my eyes. 100 metres won't be kind to us either though Takes me back to Grinčikaitė and Sakalauskas days where 100 metres was where we got our huge points.
  6. Please, a nice PB from Valinčius would make me very happy.
  7. I don't know how to feel about her now though, after her sister was pumping gas into multiple cars with tax payer money, I can only imagine that it's likely she and her mother also benefited from that and used it to freely drive around to every Lithuanian competition. Although it is speculation that Ieva could have benefited from that, I still didn't like her that much, because she was always one of those athletes that talked very loudly in interviews, but never showed up at any important competition.
  8. The typical Zarankaitė experience, where you throw 58-60 metres in Lithuania and Latvia, and then 55-56 metres everywhere else
  9. Simas Bertašius with a nice sprint during his 850 metre race
  10. It's to give the throwing nations an illusion that they're qualifying to the 1st league right before an onslaught of running events
  11. Moldova didn't even bring a pole vaulter Perhaps the Latvian hammer thrower could fill for him?
  12. Come on, 5.00 and a U20 qualifying mark for Nikodemas please I want to see a Lithuanian PB today.
  13. For a second there, I thought you were talking about Brigita Virbalytė on LRT One of the best commentating though that I've heard from Lithuanian television, since Brigita has a lot of insight on most of the athletes here.
  14. Serbia really not having a good time yet... DQ in men's 400m, 16th in women's 5000m and nearly an NM in triple jump, ending in 15th.
  15. I have bigger expectations for him though, really hoped he would finally pull himself together and qualify to the U23 with a 15.50+ There were four fairly talented young triple jumpers in the u20/u18s age group a couple of years ago and he is the final one that hasn't quit athletics yet. So I would love to see him succeed.
  16. Tomas Keršulis up to 6th in 400m, Serbia gets a very very costly DQ.
  17. That's our strategy as well, friend I'll be surprised to see a PB anywhere.
  18. Griška successfully avoided zero points in the triple jump with a valid jump. Now I'd really like to see a decent 15m+
  19. Same, tbh, most of our weakest disciplines are scattered across today. Apart from women's discus throw later this evening, we will definitely be bleeding points in every other event. Unless Valinčius runs a miracle 3000 SC and Bertašius runs a good 800m (he's a 1500m runner though)
  20. How does the simulation work, was Morauskaitė assumed to be 16th, since she didn't have a SB, ooooor?
  21. Nice to see Morauskaitė 0.61s off from WCH qualifying time, after a 10 month hiatus Feel pretty safe about her qualifying now, since she'll definitely run in the Lithuanian championships, Baltic championships, COSMA cup and that should give her enough starts.
  22. Gabija Galvydytė with 2:00.47 in the 800m and Beatričė Juškevičiūtė with 6117 in Heptathlon, really increased their chances to qualify to the World Championships. They need a similar result at the Lithuanian championships though, for those sweet sweet rating points.
  23. Woah, Lithuania You can put Karalienė in any boat and she will find a way to make it succeed. Our rowing seems to be coming back after a few mediocre years.
  24. Funnily enough, four of the Lithuanian boats are in the A finals today I wonder if at least one of them will be able to pick up a medal in a few hours
