  1. Decent chance for Edis Matusevičius to stay in a medal position with his 84.22 in the javelin. Somewhat of a chance for Gudžius in Discus Throw and Karinauskaitė in 3000m Steeplechase. Other Lithuanians that are still in top three currently: Morauskaitė in 400m, Vadeikis in Long Jump, Truskauskas in 200m, Galvydytė in 1500m, Zarankaitė in Discus Throw, Petrokaitė in Long Jump and the women's 4x100m I skimmed through the 1st division entry list, and it's safe to say, barring a miracle of some sort, that only the first three athletes have chances retaining their positions, but those that are in the top three currently are still going to have a very solid finish.
  2. Or perhaps you want to join us in the first league? We'll relegate the Germans, Italians and Poland in 2025, see you in 2027 maybe?
  3. It really does indeed depend on every single little detail. I literally thought it was over when our pole vaulter had an NM, but lots of brilliant Lithuanian performances from today brought us back into contention.
  4. Yeah, we will be away from the usual fun banter, but at least you'll have Ireland back We are probably gonna get rolled like kids, but it is still going to be absolutely amazing to see us fight in the 1st division.
  5. Don't say that me and @Bearas didn't warn you Direct quote from Gudžius after today's performance: „Esu visai patenkintas savo geriausiu šios dienos metimu. Tokiomis sąlygomis mesti diską 70 m buvo neįmanoma. Padariau tai, ką galėjau, ir savo darbą atlikau. Buvo beprotiškai karšta, manau, kad varžybų metu numečiau 3-4 kg svorio." Translates to: "I am somewhat satisfied with my best throw of the day. With conditions like these, throwing 70 metres was impossible. I did what I could and I did my job. It was insanely hot, I think that during the competition I lost 3-4 kilograms." WE ABSOLUTELY CALLED IT
  6. Bulgaria should feel proud, massively defying expectations
  7. It looked absolutely illegal and funny at the same time, but good for them, that's valuable points
  8. Yup, I'll only forgive Miklyčiūtė if she jumps 4.30 at the U20s to win a bronze, otherwise I'll stay mad for years
  9. Honestly I'm flabbergasted how Estonia is still in the relay. The fourth Estonian girl literally ran backwards to get the baton
  10. DID WE FINISH A RELAY???? Also, really loved the emotions from Morauskaitė after passing to Misiūnaitė, you can really feel the passion from her after coming back from her 10 month hiatus.
  11. Yeah, I'm surprised every time is still valid right now
  12. Our commentators are calling a Serbian DQ as well
  13. Jeezaz, Estonia really wants to forget that today ever happened...
  14. And a PB from our injury king - Rapolas Saulius. He has such a long history of incidents during races when he is at his peak form, that I am clenching on every hurdle, every time I see him race
  15. Very painful moment for Estonia with DQ in 400m W Hurdles and NM in Discus Throw back to back.
  16. Zagainova though is having her best season this year since her NR steal from Kilty. Grikšaitė doesn't give me too much confidence, because her lack of international event experience might come into play like it did at the ECH. I would rather see Kilty here, but I support the selection process and understand why Aina is here and not Dovilė.
  17. I just love how Zagainova on LRT keeps saying that it's a very professional decision from Gudžius to just get a mark and throw 62 metres here, when he should be aiming to get a European Games medal especially after Weisheidinger's throws today.
  18. 6 events, or are we not counting the relays, because we'll drop the baton?
  19. Time for Gudžius to throw 72 metres and destroy Čeh Don't worry, in this heat, 65 metres is going to be a miracle for him and he probably has excuses because of the heat ready for the interviews.
  20. I am still in pain seeing that Miklyčiūtė had a huge possibility to be 5th in the pole vault if only she managed her head.
  21. Oh my goodness, a Lithuanian PB Thank you, Galvydytė, this might help her get into the World Champs now.
  22. There's one less relay now. But it probably kills our chances to ever have a 4x400m relay at European Championships, since we will never get all of our top 400m runners in one place without competitions like this.
  23. 7.80 for Vadeikis, it's a long jump that Lithuania hasn't seen in over a decade. We had like 4-5 guys that were jumping around 8 metres back in 2010s Then we were jumping 7.50 for yeeeeeaaaarrrrrsssss.
  24. I would have started to believe in our small chances to qualify to the first league, but Miklyčiūtė erased his efforts with her NM
