  1. I don't know why, but I think that my and the Danish juror tastes in music are so well meshed together, that I always feel like I did something wrong when Lithuania fails to score from Denmark Guess that's what I get for sending pop
  2. The song was definitely something that I really like, heck, it was enough to climb to 18th after all. But somehow something didn't click and I didn't feel connected to the song. I really like rock music in general, it would've been a far far different story if you've sent any track from Sam Fender's "Seventeen Going Under" album, which I personally think might've been the best record in all 2022
  3. Some fun Lithuanian voting stats and why this edition turned out special to me as a juror. New 12 points from Lithuania, for the first time ever to Denmark. This is a country that I really love at TISC, it scored points from me in 12/20 contests, but the last time they medaled, was the very first TISC in 2013. Greece with 11 points is the very first time that Greece gets points from Lithuania in 20 contests, so that's a bit of history here. Italy with 10 points, last time they got points from Lithuania was Annual 2018, also 10 points Argentina got a PB from Lithuania with 7 points, last time I scored them was 2017 Open. That is something in common that Chile had with them as they were too last scored by me in 2017 Open. Lastly, it's the 8th contest in a row that United States score points, 4th in a row that Czech Republic scores points and twice in a row for Netherlands and then India, this being their third time scored by Lithuania. AND THE RESERVES: 13. France 14. Indonesia 15. Croatia 16. Germany 17. Hungary (for the longest time was in my top 12 and then just got outgrown by other songs) 18. Great Britain 19-21. Brazil, Poland, Portugal 22-23. Kazakhstan, Slovenia
  4. LITHUANIA DENMARK 12 GREECE 11 ITALY 10 NEW ZEALAND 9 SWEDEN 8 ARGENTINA 7 NETHERLANDS 6 IRELAND 5 CHILE 4 CZECH REPUBLIC 3 INDIA 2 USA 1 ¡Adiós! *I didn't expect Denmark to be a hot commodity this edition Blaue Blume was the group that forever changed the way I voted in this contest. I remember "In Disco Lights" and how it grew on me after I had already sent the votes and it was one of my biggest voting regrets in TISC. It's amazing that the band found its way back to me with another amazing song and my first ever 12 points to Denmark. Thank you @Agger and @Wumo for this amazing song*
  5. LITHUANIA GREECE 11 ITALY 10 NEW ZEALAND 9 SWEDEN 8 ARGENTINA 7 NETHERLANDS 6 IRELAND 5 CHILE 4 CZECH REPUBLIC 3 INDIA 2 USA 1
  6. Or perhaps the users that provide the craziness are just not in the first part of the voting
  7. LITHUANIA ¡Hola! *Hello, Totallympics members. Second edition in a row where my votes surprise me, very very strong contest, I liked 18 songs, I think * ITALY 10 NEW ZEALAND 9 SWEDEN 8 ARGENTINA 7 NETHERLANDS 6 IRELAND 5 CHILE 4 CZECH REPUBLIC 3 INDIA 2 USA 1
  8. I'm not sure if I remember the last time that Lithuania actually got 12 points in the contest. Too bad our local stat and history gods @dcro and @OlympicIRL seem to be away right now
  9. I'm kinda surprised with the Danish success, since I thought the song was a bit more towards the indie side of things, whilst I thought that most would gravitate towards pop music.
  10. Thank you, Italy for the 12 points, it was highly highly unexpected, especially since it's a multi jury @SteveParker @Pablita @Henry_Leon
  11. I've no idea what's going on Sidenote: I never learn that Lithuanian language doesn't really resonate here ever, but I still pick it, even after I promise myself I won't
  12. Spanish speaking language bias is a thing in TISC as well, but mostly there are far less countries so it goes unnoticed
  13. I thought it would be between and as they are songs that were fairly popular this year outside of their countries
  14. Lol, I looked at the voting times, got a little bit confused, but at the end of the day, I got a little history fact out of it. When I googled what time is it in Spain right now, to check why we're only one hour apart and how is that possible One of the first suggested searches was "Why is Spain 1 hour ahead of UK", so I'm glad that I was not the only one confused. It's funny that one fascist government decided to change timezones and everybody went along with it for over 70 years now
  15. AUSTRALIA One of the absolute gems that I've uncovered this year just browsing music - Australian singer JOY. If you like the vibes, I highly recommend to listen to her other songs, for example: "Anime" or "Out of Love" JOY. - Alone On The Moon
  16. I want to pick up Australia for the festival of music this year
  17. I didn't really think on who is going to be winning this time until I've read your messages, popular vote could perhaps split between two songs that I have in mind. Would be fun to be wrong, though, because I like the chaos
