  1. It's baffling that the combined feed doesn't show the Americans and the Russians more at this point when the drama is happening on the beam.
  2. Another Russian falls off the beam, they are throwing their chance away.
  3. And I thought that Osaka's defeat will be the biggest drama of the day and the Games...
  4. I guess we will now know how strong the is without Biles.
  5. Holy shit, I didn't pay attention because of the Biles drama. ESTONIA!!!
  6. Somewhere Márta and Béla Károlyi are smiling. (or maybe not, I am not sure if they want to fail after what happened in the last few years)
  7. lead is growing, but I think that was expected on the uneven bars, right?
  8. 1 point lead after the vault. This is getting interesting.
  9. Here we go, probably the "most important" final for at these Games.
  10. Not a wise decision from Hosszú, she withdrew from 200 fly, everyone qualifies. I think she may have had a better chance to win a medal in 200 fly than in 200IM. And by that I mean better than nothing because she's clearly not winning a medal in 200IM.
  11. Okay, everything is right in the world again (hopefully).
  12. Either Japan has greatly improved or we really suck right now.
  13. As someone who doesn't have a clue about what's going on: it doesn't make it more comparable. With percentages I would at least have some idea about how bad/good the score is.
  14. Another 2nd place for Berecz, almost perfect first day. Kaynar is the one who had the perfect day, two first places, it won't be easy to beat him if he can consistently perform this well. In fact, Finn had the exact same Top3 in the first two races, I am guessing this doesn't happen too often.
  15. Hey, don't take this away from us! You already got the lowest gold/total medal ratio to be "proud of".
  16. I have a bit of a "break" while the dressage is happening in the background, so I wanted to compare our current situation to what we had at the previous Games since 2004 after Day 4 (we don't have any medal chances left for today). 2004: 1-1-1 (1-1-0 in fencing, 0-0-1 in swimming) 2008: 0-1-0 (0-1-0 in swimming) 2012: 1-1-1 (1-0-0 in fencing, 0-1-1 in judo) 2016: 4-1-1 (3-0-1 in swimming, 1-1-0 in fencing) 2020: 1-1-0 (1-1-0 in fencing) So yeah, not much worse than Athens and London so far, Rio was more of an anomaly, we started really strong thanks to Hosszú (after Hosszú's events it was a mostly disappointing SOG for us with the exception of women's kayak). Now if only we could repeat what we did in Athens and London in later days, apart from the three medals lost due to doping in 2004, ofc. We got Milák, just like Gyurta in 2012, but we don't have other big favorites like Berki in men's pommel horse and Pars in men's hammer throw.
  17. I would say that only the women's team is suffering now, the men's team finally seem capable of some good results, too bad that they didn't figure their shit out in time for Olympic qualification. I am 100% sure that our men's team would perform better in Tokyo than our women's team.
  18. Hey, at least we are #1 in something at the Games. (for now, obviously the top nations will overtake us eventually)
  19. I guess we don't count this as a 4th place: http://www.olympedia.org/results/153334 The Hungarian media says that this is our best cycling result ever.
  20. I can't say that I haven't heard anything about Vas before this race, but I would have never guessed that this would actually happen. This is our best result in any cycling event since 1924 and it's from a 19-year-old girl.
