  1. Obviously it's due to cheating and not about being a sore loser
  2. If Asia wanted to have multiple qualification events then they are welcome to it. Though I must say having the Asian Games as a qualification tournament is dumb because it occurs before the world qualifiers. One of the reasons why Pan American nations get more quotas than we deserve is because of this.
  3. Yeah, I don't expect China to win all three quotas, they are relatively weaker in shotgun events while other Asian countries are stronger
  4. Europe is still leading Asia 78-52 among world quotas. Plus Europe will get 4-5 continental quotas per event while Asia gets 3-4.
  5. What's more amazing is that they did it without the need of continental qualifiers. All that remains is 1 men's trap and 2 men's skeet quotas to have a complete team in the individual events
  6. Looking at the nations rankings, and are the best nations not in the top 21, but they are ranked 23rd and 22nd respectively so it wouldn't take much to qualify normally. After that we have then . We almost could have a scenario where someone that was lapped would qualify to the Olympics.
  7. and currently hold the quotas after the Men's U23 race. Of course, these quotas are of the lowest priority. At the very least Switzerland will be replaced via the rankings. Currently Romania holds the final spot in the rankings too, meaning both quotas could be reallocated to the next highest rank eligible nation. Once everything is settled, it could be and getting these quotas (assuming Romania qualifies through the world rankings)
  8. That's what happens when a small nation wins at the Olympics, everyone practices that sport. Though to be fair, looking at the rankings Kosovo only has 5 relevant judoka, four of which are in the top 10 of the Olympic rankings. They are just cashing in on their chances.
  9. They still need to get the MQS in order to be eligible for the quota.
  10. Whose idea was it to make the U23 race a qualification event? What is this, men's football?
  11. Looks like my dark horse Iran pick won't happen .
  12. Pretty much, the rule is mostly there to prevent nations from choosing a relatively weak archer over someone that is better.
  13. WA is a bit lenient with the MQS towards developing nations.
  14. Yes the African Games doubles as the continental qualifier
  15. I think technically the host quota goes to and then the declined athlete quota eventually goes to . Regardless we have the same result.
  16. At least the policy is a bit more fair than in 2016 where all continental quotas were declined, regardless of whether or not the athlete was competitive.
  17. The host quota would go to the next highest ranked nation in the K1 1000m, it does not get added to the pool of quotas. The above table looks correct, kind of wished ICF was more clear about the host quota.
  18. Yeah, I suspect that to be true. I was secretly hoping none of their canoeists finish in qualification position, but based on the heats they will likely qualify in the K1 1000m. Hopefully they officially decline the quota in a quick manner.
  19. I don't think the above is true. There's no way we can get six K1 200m boats. The only way for Sweden to qualify would be if Spain declines its quota. Likewise, how does Russia get a quota in the K2 (outside of Spain outright denying the K2 boat)?
  20. I don't think so... Men's kayak only had one reallocation quota and it went to Belarus. Only way for him to get the quota would be if three nations ahead of him declined their quota which at this point is very unlikely to have occurred.
